Works great, everything I'd hope it would be save... rechargeable battery is trash. Fully charged it, 5 minutes later... dying.
What can I say? This is actually a pretty awesome product. It does everything you think it would do and makes for an excellent digital TV. The BIG MISS... This is actually designed to be mobile so dying and weak rechargeable batteries built in is a big no no. I'd have less of a problem if the batteries weren't permanently part of the product. I want to crack it open and replace the defective batteries that died with age, save they're not meant to come out. So plug it in, it's good to go. Take it on the go, it's gonna die in five minutes. Maybe I just got unlucky but this is a mobile TV that isn't 'mobile'... Save that it has excellent picture, a 'good' antenna that you can replace with a better on and solid sound. Maybe I got unlucky but mine has crap rechargeable permanent battery... ... What can I say? This is actually a pretty awesome product. LOVE my RCA 7" TV!
I bought this tv to use next to my bed at night. I like to listen to World News Now while I sleep. But now that I have it- I use it all over my house all the time. The picture is GREAT! Living in a metro area I pick up lots of channels, and they come in clear and crisp with beautiful color and definition.Who needs cable? Not me! It's small enough to pack and take anywhere I travel. This tv works better than my full size one with a big antenna. I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys FREE TV.I bought this tv to use next to my bed at night. Fantastic portable TV---and the price is right!
RCA portable television has a susprisingly great picture, exceptionally vivid and clear. The weeny antenna provided was only 7" tall extended but the reception was very good on all of our local area channels. Antenna also was not "touchy" on direction orientation. The internal battery is listed as good for 100 minutes of use. We lose electrical service fairly often because of storms. I have a portable 12V auto starter battery and plan to use it to extend the operational battery power time for many hours during the power outages. The TV has a standard 12V input that is also used for charging the internal battery. Just a suggestion. This TV works because I can pick up stations 13 channels in California in Merced I can take this anywhere is great 4 camping it's useful for me to have TV in my backyard patio
