    Great, fast, wide lens.

    This is an incredible lens for the price. The lens is super sharp, and light weight. The 28mm focal length is a great wide angle lens that should be in every photographers bag. And the f1.8 aperture is a super fast lens. I love it.

    Surprised

    Love the 28mm focal length. Not too wide or too tight. I have other focal lengths but the 28mm is kind of a sweet spot. It’s plastic to cut costs but the glass and mounts are all Nikon. And it’s pretty light to carry all day. Been using it in D4s and the balance is perfect to use with one hand. Focusing speed is pretty damn good as I like to use other bodies and then switch off to this body as the subjects get closer. Image quality is subjective and I don’t look at each pixel. But I do look at overall image quality at the center and all the way to the corners with different apertures. It’s sharp! And wide open, it delivers I nice pleasing bokeh. Contrast and color are extremely accurate. Over all as sub $700 lens it’s great for when you need a light wide angle with a f/1.8 opening.

    My new go to lens.

    As a long time Nikkor lens user I have become accustomed to high quality and long lasting durable products. So I was a little Leary of this new generation of plastic and light weight products. They just seemed to lack that old time quality. While this might seem to be true I have come to appreciate the lightness and see it more as an added feature as opposed to any lack of quality. As always this is a Nikon product and it delivers all the high resolution and image quality they have been renowned for.

    Great ;lens!

    I got a great deal on this normally $700 lens. I lens was shipped quickly and in perfect condition. I will use it for wedding photography. For those of you looking at the 24 mm or the 35 mm, this 28 mm is the best of both for the price.

    Great lens!

    This might be my new favorite lens. It works great in tight spaces, allowing you to get wider shots. It's super sharp even at f/1.8. Note the detail photo of the rings that was taken at f/1.8.
