Though the disk is region-free, it does not play on my 4k UHD player. Perhaps I need to update my player to recognize the video output of this disk, something which has happened a couple of times with other purchases. Other than that,the disk and packaging were in great shape. And the delivery was made a few days before I expected it to be done.

In this box is sometimes the very best, and a little of the very worse of the complete output from the Blackadder team...forget if you will the first series, that was not as good as the rest; once however they brought in Ben Elton to pen the rest, well it's history as they say..pun intended. A top team take this comedy series to imortality, it's funny now, and will continue to be so for many years to come, yes even the first series. Stephen Fry is so articulate in all the various roles, he 'consumes' all with ease..and spits out a delite in comedy acting. I need not mention other names; their's have become like the shows, embedded in total recall of everyone who has become involved in watching these shows mature over the years...I hope you will buy this set, you ... Black-adder-Complete Blackadder(DVD)
I'm from London so i saw some Black-adders on BBC years back.When i bought the whole series i realised that it took a while for the producers to get up steam on the series and that certainly the 1st disc is pathetic and Black-adder in his early days is a wimp and not funny.He is too much like 'Mr Bean'(Another character played by Rowlan Atkinson who plays Blackadder).Later on, probably by disc 3,is the Blackadder i remember who rather more nasty,sly and hilarious.So knowing what i know i would have bought disc by disc the Black-adders after the producers had matured on the script and characters because what a huge difference.If you are an american who likes 'Faulty Towers' or 'Monty Python'-you should try Blackadder.(These british comedies are one step up and beyond 'Are you Being Served' ... If you at all like comedy you will enjoy this
Everyone knows what Blackadder is-or they should do, if you have never heard of it all you need to know is that if you like comedy-like, at all, buy it, watch it, make your friends watch it. And for the rest of you, you know how it goes, Rowan Atkinson Stephen Fry, sometimes Hugh Laurie, Tony Robinson (who I forever call Bauldrick), Rick Mayall, Miranda Richardson (always Queenie) to name a few of the greats. All the series, all the specials (so thats two specials then), and just really really great comedy.Everyone knows what Blackadder is-or they should do, if you have never heard of it all you need to know is that if you like comedy-like, at all, buy it, watch it, make your friends watch it. good stuff!
I bought this dvd for my husband birthday present. was thinking if he doesn't like it? but, it worked out great! he loves it! we had a good time watching the dvd together.. even though i don't quit get the humor of british as much.
