Imaginative Entertainment Is Alive & Well!
I like to have my favorite movies available on the shelf in DVD format, not streaming. "The Adjustment Bureau" is one of my favorites and provides much to ponder about after the film credits finish scrolling. Although the story moves at a fast pace, it never loses continuity and maintains the attention of its audience to the extent that you cannot stop watching because of what may, or may not, happen in the very next scene!. The film is truly well done - realistic, yet imaginative! For fans of Matt Damon and Philip K. Dick, the writer of the original story the film is based on, it is a masterpiece!I like to have my favorite movies available on the shelf in DVD format, not streaming. Entertaining by way of character acting
An excellent story idea, with a sub par script. Fortunately it is salvaged by delightful acting.

Epic pschological thriller that keeps you hooked from the very start.
This movie was sheer epic-wonderment. The plot was surprising and believable. Plus, who could turn down Matt Damon?? The Adjustment Bureau began with a politician who was losing the race-to-the-top for a seat in the Senate. He meets a beautiful woman who was hiding in the Men’s bathroom and she inspires him to make the best speech of his life. This catapults his chances at winning the next election from hopeless to hopeful. Trouble comes along when a strange group of men start interfering with David Norris’s life. This girl he met seems to keep appearing in his life, and it’s like they were meant to be together. But the Adjustment Bureau has different plans for David and Elise. Can they overcome “the plan” written years ago by The Chairmen? Can they find a way to be together and still be ... This movie was sheer epic-wonderment. The plot was surprising and believable. THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU A TAUT SUSPENSE THRILLER/DRAMA/ROMANCE WITH ENGAGING CHARACTERS!
THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU is a story that I can't recall being told before, or certainly not in as appealing a way. It's built around the question of how much of life is already predetermined, chance, or free will. While that may not sound so thrilling or dramatic, it lies in the writing and excellent performances given by the main characters, Matt Damon and Emily Blunt. The supporting cast, including Anthony Mackie, give equally outstanding performances as the figures of "THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU" itself. Without giving any "spoils", Matt Damon plays David Norris, an aspiring Senator contender who meets and falls in love with Elise (Emily Blunt) a contemporary ballet dancer. These 2 were never supposed to have met & their meeting will change the course of Destiny, which the mysterious men ... THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU is a story that I can't recall being told before, or certainly not in as appealing a way. It comes down to how determined a person is to fight for who they love and what they truly believe in - perhaps with a little aid from a "bureau" rep. who is in trouble with the "bureau" for being responsible for the 2 lovers' first encounter, but who is secretly rooting for the 2! THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU IS A WONDERFUL MOVIE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED VIEWING!

Even though I usually like these kinds movies, this was one of the worse movies I've ever seen!
I usually enjoy these kinds of movies and I just love Matt Damon and Emily Blunt but this one really missed the mark. In fact, this is one of the worse movies I've ever seen! Poorly written and the acting is even worse.
