    Quality Working Product

    This time and labor saving granite mortar and pestle has a classic authentic design. Granite is hard enough to crush and grind spices, herbs, nuts and much more rather than be worn away mixing with ingredients. It works great as well to make guacamole, salsa, pesto, and many other sauces and pastes. Its size and weight make it easy to use, while its appearance functions well for serving at parties, dinner, etc. and is easy to clean.

    Great Mortar, but I wish it could be for less $$$

    Big enough for Avocado spread or salsa. Heavy and well made. I was told by my friend that exact the same mortar is available at Marshal's for less $$$

    Heavy grinder for rough grinding

    Very heavy and sturdy. Mortar is exactly hand-sized, perfect for rough-grinding pigments or spices into large granules. Fine grinding requires successively finer and smoother mortar and pestle sets, as expected. This was purchased specifically to start the process of turning large granules of rough artist pigments into smaller, more easily managed grains for grinding in smaller mortar/pestle sets, and eventually with mullers. Reminder - it is VERY heavy, made of rough stone.

    Great Product, just what I was expecting it to be.

    I had seen similar product at a friends house and took the risk of ordering this one and it turned out to be better than what I had seen. It is made from Granite not from the Lava rock which is what you get from Mexico. I am really happy I bought this. The pestle looks small in the picture but its perfectly sized. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to buy one. I got this in 3 days after ordering. Its heavy....

    Love my mortar and pestle

    Got it conditioned and started to use it. Love the weight of it, stays put while in use. Love the design. I find it very satisfying to use this, a lot more so than a blender. Looks great just sitting on my work table. Great item !!!!!! Thank you, Cat
