Product Information

Sly and sexy super-sleuth Cate Archer returns as A Spy In H.A.R.M.'s Way in this sequel to 2000's heavily themed first-person shooter. As in the original No One Lives Forever, the Operative is once again equiped with a great variety of outlandish devices to help her accomplish her goals, such as the secret decoder compact and the exploding robot kitty cat. Yet also as in the original game, Cate's greatest asset may be her wits, and figuring out the best way to put those gadgets to use in different situations could be as challenging as the well armed enemies that populate each mission area.<br><br>The storyline in No One Lives Forever 2 revolves around the intense Cold War tension of the 1960s and it will lead Ms. Archer around the globe, to such far-flung settings as India, Siberia, and Japan (not to mention Ohio!). Stealth is even more crucial in this second game, as enemy AI has been enhanced to react not just to scripted events, but to more general changes in the environment. No matter how sneaky the Operative can be though, there's bound to be some shooting in this first-person shooter as well, and understanding the capabilities and limitations of the different featured weapons can help Cate to hold her own in a firefight.<br><br>In addition to the new stealth tactics and smarter bad guys, graphics have also been improved over those in the first No One Lives Forever. This sequel is built on a more powerful version of the LithTech engine, designed to render up to 20 times the polygons at twice the frame rate of the original game's LithTech 2.5. The single player campaign features over 40 missions, varied in design to test the full array of Cate's diverse talents. A number of multiplayer options are available as well, including a mode that allows up to four human players to work together as a team.

    No1livesforever 2 a spy in harms way review

    This game is a perfect 10 for me in every category. One of the greatest FPS games of all time, such an underrated gem. I’m very fortunate to have a complete sealed big box copy. I really hope night dive studios brings to game back for modern computers. Kate Archer is an awesome female protagonist.

    This games is great in multiplayer!

    I bought several copies of this game so my whole family can play online with legal serials, four of us total. This game is a blast in deathmatch. What other game lets you take out an opponent with a strategically placed banana on the stairs or around a corner? Plus, it's hard to find a good co-op game nowadays like Serious Sam, NOLF2, etc. Make sure you grab all official game updates and map packs on Fileplanet. They fix many issues and the maps are great. It should be noted that the reviewer who complained about his DirectX 8.1 issue is experiencing a videocard problem, not a processor problem. His Celeron is plenty fast for this game.

    Amazing game!

    If you like sneaking around as much as shooting baddies, this is the game for you. It gives plenty of options to either sneak past guards or attack them head on. Be careful! The AI in this game is top-notch. If any bad guys know you're in the vicinity, they carefully seek you out until they either find you or they're certain you were only in their imagination. The game has plenty of interesting toys, including a glue gun, which traps your enemies in their tracks for a few seconds. There is also laughing gas and sleeping gas.     N.O.L.F. 2: A Spy in H.A.R.M.'s Way

    Great game. A "Campy" and sexy James Bond. I don't want to say too much about it but... I got all the "codes" and played it like a movie. Sorry to say, but I'm only half through (I think?). I enjoy it every time I sit down to play. One note though... when using the "codes" be sure to save frequently because I have been in situations in the game where I cannot continue unless I play it without "help".
