Where The Crawdads Sing
Spoiler: This is a great movie it’s suspenseful, mysterious, romantic, and a little bit funny. I thought the story, acting, and directing were awesome. The landscapes they picked for this movie were beautiful makes me want to go live out in the marsh seems so peaceful. The story revolves around a girl named Kya who is abandoned by her family and is left to fend for herself at a young age, she gets help from the store owners Jumpin’ and Mabel and sooner finds help from a guy named Tate who teaches her how to read and write and they fall in love until he leaves then she falls in love with another guy named Chase who is not that nice to her later on in the story and this is just her origin she is also put on trial and accused of a murder that the town blames on her. Between the trial you see her backstory and how she got to where she is, did she do it or not well you will have to find out when you see this movie. I will say I was a little surprised about the ending. Warning does not read any further if you don’t want the ending spoiled for you. I was shocked to see that she killed Chase but I guess I could see why she did it because she did not want to live in fear but she could have also left this movie does a good job making you root for the killer when you don’t even know she is the killer until Tate finds the necklace she made for chase in the book I had to look that up and I was right she did kill him but had to make sure my suspicions were correct. Daisy Edgar Jones(Kya) does a great job of playing the innocent victim and making you guess if she did it or not. I was hoping it was an accident or self-defense but anyways purposely luring him to that fire gate or whatever it is and pushing him off is murder no doubt. So after you find out, for me I got mixed feelings about it I wanted to still root for her but also wanted to see her punished for her crime even though she lived out her life you don’t find out until she dies that she did it. The book should have been called How To Get Away With Murder like the show lol. It’s hard to hate her because you fall in lover with her throughout the movie on her backstory they did a really good job with that. Anyways this was a great movie and if you have not seen this movie then I recommend you do

Interesting while intriguing.
The movie itself was good and was entertaining. It kept you interested in the plot of the movie and ended in a way different from what I would have suspected. I couldn't help but feel sorry for this girl as she was an outcast, left to fend for herself, made fun of by others in the community, etc. Thank goodness for the store owners who kept an eye out for her, helping where and when they could. This movie is one I will watch again and I am glad I purchased it.The movie itself was good and was entertaining. GET THIS MOVIE !!
This is the best movie I've seen since Top Gun. I knew none of the actors, hadn't read the book, and just happened to follow my best friend and his wife (who did read the book) to the movie theater and had a fantastic experience. I can't say enough good things about this movie. Captivating!!

Great movie!
I missed the movie at theaters, less than two weeks? I search & searched? It was being shown on Peacock I watched it. Not only did I cry, laughed, cheered . It's the BEST MOVIE NEXT TO the HELP, PLACES IN THE HEART. So well written since receiving it I've kept in my laptop to view . Love this movie. I've shared with my sisters (they watched on Peacock)

encouraging & very lovable character !!!
an outcast from society- FORCED to be that by no choices of her own. but she has a few true and loyal friends who r there when she needs them - a young woman who loves nature and all of Gods creation. at first she is just surviving, but eventually her knowledge of nature becomes a good provider for her. a great romantic story.
