    Replacing Dometic A/C shroud on a 2000 North Country LS 29RL Travel Trailer

    The cover fit almost perfectly except for two fasteners on the back of my mounting base that were not drilled on the shroud. This was a simple fix with my trusty drill. I also placed a few 1/4" washers at these connections to accommodate a 1/4" space between the shroud hole and the base hole to avoid misalignment of the bottom edge of the shroud. The factory holes on the shroud were not exact but close enough so a little angle on the screw was sufficient to get them in place. There are many similar after market products to pick from that may or may not fit well. I suggest measuring the shroud to be replaced and choose the closest match to length, height, width and general shape. This should maximize your chance of a successful replacement.

    Ive read the reviews and people were right

    It does look great. Better than my old one. But only a few of the holes matched. I have 14 all together, and this only had 12. The 2 in the back we're not there. So I made them myself. And only 1 in the front matched. The other wouldn't even go in the hole. And I was able to get 3 in on each side. So the trick I did, was get in a only 1 on the sides, then keep lifting and looking/measuring, & marked with a pencil where it should be. Some of the holes that are pre-made on the sides, let u see where u need to be, so I just needed to adjust them slightly. But again, the back didn't have any. So I had to lift and look. If all the screws are in on the sides, then u can't lift. So that's why it's easier to only have a few in. Closer to the front of course, Otherwise the back won't lift. ...

    Should do the job

    This shroud is a little thinner than my OEM Dometic one. But is much more flexible probably due to the age and sun exposure to the old shroud. Had to drill a couple of extra holes in the front and grind out a few more holes to match the A/C base. Not difficult at all took about 30 minutes to remove old, modify new and install. If it stays flexible for several years it should be the last one I have to buy.

    Great Product! Heavy Duty.

    It’s a Great product but the only issue is that I had to re-drill some of the holes. No big deal though... a lot heaver duty then the OEM one that it came with.

    Great replacement for 2003 Dometic Duo-Therm Quick Cool

    I couldn’t find a model number for the Dometic Duo-Therm Quick Cool AC unit on my 2003 motor home, but my research showed that after 2000 it should be the shorter new style cover. I measured my old one and it seemed right. I took a chance that the Quick Cool was the same as the Brisk Air. This cover fit perfect. I had to drill a few new holes and elongate a few of the slots in the new cover but that seems to be common. I could T be happier to have a replacement for my brittle, broken, and duct taped old cover. I included a couple pictures of the old cover.
