for a large cat
i have a large cat , not a dog and this is the best fountain i have had yet. it is extemely quiet. my cat seems to love it. with the other fountains every time he would drink out of the bowl the stream of water would interfere with drinking. happy cat ---happy owner !!!

PETMATE Fresh Flow fountain - medium size
I have always had these fountains for my cats, since they are so fascinated by the running water. One even likes to just sit there and listen to it and watch it! I found that the small size was emptied far too quickly, so I ordered this medium size and it doesn't run out of water quickly like the small one. I do generally empty a 16 ounce glass of fresh water into it daily, even tho it's not in any danger of running dry. My only problem came during assembly, when I found a small plastic grate in the package-I could tell where it's supposed to go, but was unable to install it. I just couldn't get it to snap into place, so I run the fountain without it - and it's just fine. I totally change the fountain once a week, to minimize mineral deposits, but it wipes clean with just paper ... It was offered at an amazing price on EBAY, so I bought it and really had no idea it was the bigger, medium size. I've since learned how to balance it between my hands and make it to the sink without spilling any water. Great product! Also, in the past I have been able to order a replacement motor for these fountains, so your investment will last a long time.

Best investment in years
This product is by far much better then and of the other fountain water bowls I have purchased in the past. I keeps the water constantly moving preventing stagnation and keeping the water not only cool but filtered fresh. My dachshund loves it and drinks far more water then from a standard water bowl that gets slimy. Highly recommended

Good product
This is a good product but noisier than I thought it would be. Also, the flow is low and slow even when the tank is full. My cats love it thiugh. It is well made and easy to use.

Wonderful water fountain - my cats drink a lot more water
I had a pet water spa cube prior to this and it became too nasty to use. As much as I regularly cleaned, it would retain hard to clean stains and grime. Yuck! This water fountain is great! It's smooth, quiet, and resists that slimy grime coating that plagued the prior water product. My cats are loving it and are drinking more water. They even a have an extra pep in their step.
