This is a really terrific seller. I ordered a used motherboard. It came very quickly, but it was bad. I contacted the seller and got a response the next business day. He provided two options, either replacement or refund. I took a replacement, the new board worked great. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend gizmogenie. I will buy again from this seller.

Added VT support to HP laptop!
I purchased this because I have an HP DV9930US laptop, which originally came with a T5750 processor. Unfortunately, the T5750 lacks support for hardware virtualization or "VT", and a number of products, including parts of Windows 7, have essentially reduced functionality when used with a processor that lacks VT support: - Windows 7: Can't run Virtual PC and Windows XP mode - VMware: Can't support 64-bit guests The DV9930US is a pretty nice laptop, but I use it for development, and the latter problem (no 64-bit guests) was a problem for me, so I was originally considering getting a new laptop that has a processor that does support VT. But then, I began investigating "upgrading" the processor... In the "old days" almost all laptops had the processor/CPU chip soldered-in, so there was no ... I purchased this because I have an HP DV9930US laptop, which originally came with a T5750 processor. In the "old days" almost all laptops had the processor/CPU chip soldered-in, so there was no chance to upgrade CPUs, but at least for the newer HP laptops, it seems like many, if not all, come with the CPU chip in a socket. This made a CPU upgrade feasible. So, I checked Intel's website for possible replacement CPUs with "Socket P" that support VT. There were a number of them, but I wasn't necessarily interested in a faster CPU, so when I found the T7250 (which does support VT) at a good price on Ebay, I bought that. HP also seems to provide service manuals for many of their laptops, and in particular, it seems like all of the DVxxxx series of laptops are pretty much the same mechanically, so finding the info needed to disassemble the laptop was not difficult. I did the CPU upgrade this past weekend, and was able to successfully replace the original T5750 with the T7250. The HP BIOS automatically detected that the new CPU supported VT, and added an additional option to enable/disable virtualization, so I enabled that, and rebooted, and *voila*. I now am able to create and run 64-bit VMware guests. I also was able to install Virtual PC and XP Mode, though I eventually went back to Virttual PC 2007 SP1. So, overall, even with the same CPU speed (2.00GHz), I think that this was a worthwhile investment, and definitely allows me to extend the usefulness of my DV9930US...

Overall by todays standards wont run windows 10 well at all.
Using this for a couple of months great price but overall while it performs well it is too slow to do many of today's tasks with current operating systems. you may spend a lot of time waiting for actions to complete. For older systems that need a slight boost would be fine for win xp for win 7-8 it will be slow. For win 10 stay away.

Easy inexpensive upgrade for a old timer laptop....
This was a great upgrade to speed up an older laptop. Easy to install. BIOS picked it right up.

Great bang fot the bucks.
I love the upgrade that I gave my Inspiron 1525 when replacing the Intel® Core™Duo Processor T2330 (1.6GHz,1M L2 Cache,500MHz FSB). It gave my laptop a great boost in performace and I was able to replace the RAM as well from 500 mhz to 800 mhz. Windows Vista is running smoother than ever. Windows XP is a snap and Ubuntu 10.10 is even better than Windows. Best money ever spent...
