    a classic - but beware the version!!

    this is for the original first edition and not the subsequent editions, espeically the paperback editions that are missing quite a bit. while many more contemporary books have since been published with more lavish illustrations and focus, this is the first. finch was given unprecidented (for the time, early 1970's) access to the disney archives and compiled a thorough overview of disney and his studio from his birth to the opening of disney world. later editions have included information up through "the little mermaid" with more details on disney parks around the world. i received the first edition of this book for my birthday (and later lost it) so this was a nostalgia purchase as well. if you're hunting down one of these first editions you'll want to make sure it has a cut-out ...

    Great book, some details left unsaid.

    I love the fact that I now own a peice of history older than I am. I have a library copy of the exact same book and compaired my newly bought book with the library copy. My copy's woodcut mickey was unglued from the front cover completely and it bothered me that it wasn't mentioned on the description, I would have bought it anyways. I noticed that my copy was slightly heavier than the library copy, so I assume it was because of old age, but nothing too serious that would make me want to give it back. All in all, I just need to give the book a few touch ups and it'll be as good as it was back in 1973. The illustrations are magnificent and the binding is great. The dust jacket was as it was said in the description. Thank you for the sale and have a great day.

    Mickeymouse book

    Best Buy I love this book it is a great coffee table book all I ever wanted to know about Walt Disney it tells you all the original names of then 7 dwarfs from Snow White very fun facts and what walts dream was and why Disney thought the way he did and why would they so,big today the pages are strong this is my 2 book the first thing me did not have the wooden Mickey on the cover this one does fun book easy read fun facts and a great book to be added to ones home library.

    I got one from my Grandma and my Mom insisted that it was intended to be shared with my little sister.

    So I bought one on EBay and I'm going to give her the EBay one to silence her and she'll never know the difference.
