We love this game. Before and during the different levels they talk to you alot so you can follow the story line and know what to do. You can't play while they are talking, but you can hit start to skip it. Games take a little while to load on the PS3, but this one loads faster than some others we have played like the new tekken. My 7 year old son plays this game and it is not bloody or violent. When you hit a nanobot infested cobra soldier they're power is drained they fall to their knees or on the ground and dissolve in a green mess then nothing. There are 3 difficulty levels. The first one is casual and when you die you loose all your collected money, but you can continue to play. In the other two modes when you die the game is over, you only get one life. the rise did they ever fall???????????
i liked gi joe rise because it stayed true to the original cartoon alot ,it made me feel five again and up early watching duke and flint lady j ,flint was the best by the way , wasnt in game ??????????? but overall great game i play it all the time,wanted original characters but maybe next time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad for under $20.
It's no modern warfare but it is amusing. My 4 year old son can play by himself in easy mode (unlimited lives). I like that. If you're a hardcore gamer, this probably isn't for you. However, if you like GI Joe figures and media, it's not bad.
