Omega Man
The Omega Man is a classic. It starts out with Charlton Heston being the only man in the city. You soon find out that he is not alone. The movie was done quite well taking into consideration the date of this movie. If you are a Sci-Fi fan or a Heston fan, you will want this one in your collection. The movie has been remade and is now called I am Legend. The main difference between the movies are that in the new movie Will Smith makes a serious tactical error, and in the original Heston was set up by his girlfriend. Being set up by the girlfriend is more believable then making a tactical error by a military officer. If you liked I am Legend you should like this film. The movie is about the Last Man on Earth that is left normal by a global catastrophe. Made in the 1970's ( when I first viewed the film on the Big Screen ) it is surnonomious with the times. The Future was impacted by such movies as the Actors took cirtran situations to extremes and beyond the limits of the times. Mr. Heston gives another Great performance as the lone survivor of the world. I Am Legend is a remake of this Original movie and in some seans ,to the "T" . But Mr. Heston is the Classic Lead Actor and does make the movie. Soient Green is another good movie of the future made in the 70's and includes Charlton Heston as well as Edward G. Good Heston movie...
If you're a Charlton Heston fan, this is another movie for your collection. I purchased it because I saw 'I am Legend' & told my wife it seemed alot like a movie I saw as a youngster, come to find out they were both based on the same novel. Heston does a fine job (of course he has the obligatory shirtless scene) I found this movie to be scarier than the original although it was far less graphic. (One word of caution, there are a few brief nude scenes).If you're a Charlton Heston fan, this is another movie for your collection. The Omega Man
I like this movie since it has the has the recently deceased great actor Charlton Heston in it. This is the first movie that "I Am Legend" was made after. Watch it and you will see a lot of similar things. The main charactor even has the same name as the new movie.

great acting! The bad guys were great! They did not have the special effects they have today so the actors real had to ACT! The Bad guys were not just monsters but real villians!
