Well written and informative, CCTV is intended for installers, sales personnel, security managers, consultants, and manufacturers. Damjanovski does an excellent job of explaining the technical issues that a novice would have trouble following, such as the pulses used in charge-coupled devices for transferring charges. -Security Management .the book is well written and highly informative. Anyone seeking in-depth knowledge on CCTV will find it a worthwhile investment in terms of both time and money. -Security Management "Vlado Damjanovski was hoping his revised edition of CCTV would become the "CCTV bible" for people trying to understand and design a surveillance system. The depths to which the author goes to in his 12 subject areas ensures his authoritative 370-plus page book/manual achieves that and more. Damjanovski is renowned as an authority on CCTV and a recent talk he gave at the Rexel Dealer Conference in Adelaide in March had delegates baying for more. In-depth, authoritative, simple to understand, less-reliant on jargon means the reader needs only basic logic and technical understanding to find value in the information contained in CCTV. Damjanovski has attempted to encompass the theory and practice of all components and fundamentals of closed-circuit television involving various disciplines and products from electronics, telecommunications and optics to fibre optics, digital image processing and programming. Inspiration for the book, first published in 1995, came from people at several seminars who had told Damjanovski there was a dearth of such information.
