Three out of the four books were in good condition, as described. The fourth book, however, arrived with the cover completely removed from the text block. This, as far as I could tell, was not shown in the photos, nor mentioned in the description. I would have appreciated more description, and should have been informed about the condition of the fourth book. Otherwise the items arrived quickly, and were well packaged.

    I purchased this in CD format because I don't have much time to read and I need to drop a few pounds to improve my health. The information IS excellent, and I would recommend this in either book or CD form. It has changed my perspective about many things that I put in my mouth and I have dropped weight because of it. I am no longer "dieting", but making lifestyle changes...what I should have been doing all along. It was nice to have the actual digestive cycle, etc. described as this really puts things in perspective and makes you think more about how your body functions and responds to what you put in your mouth. I enjoyed the CD format, but after listening to it, I can see where the book is would be helpful to review items and make shopping lists, etc. The authors read the book and ...

  • You Gotta Have a STRONG Cup of Coffe to Finish This One

    This book wasn't bad. I definitely learned a lot about how our body systems work and ways to drop the pounds. The one drawback I felt was that I was getting a biology/chemistry lesson during most of the book. I bought the audiobook and I can bet that I would have put the book down long time ago if I had to read through a hard copy. All of the detailed medical terminology and information was a bit much. Once you actually chapters where they actually start to talk about the diet, things do kind of start making sense. I feel that the book provides the right tools and information to be successful, but to be honest, I haven't motivated myself enough to start using what I learned yet.     This was my first audio book. Somehow my brain and my ears takes to Dr. Oz's voice. After seeing him on Oprah a few times I really got into eating healthy & doing my body right. I decided to buy the book to see what more infomation he had to say. After I saw that the book had 300 & something pages I decided to buy the audio book. Not finished but got the book on my Ipod and listen almost everyday. Following what he said and lost 2 inches off my waist and 5 pounds in 1 month. I would rate this book good infomation.

    I am a big fan of both doctors and have watched them on Oprah and followed their advice and learned from them on realage.com as well. The You on a Diet CDs are in my car at all times and it is amazing how learning the physiological causes and ramifications of weight gain make you see food so differently. I have been slowly losing weight without even trying since I started listening to the tapes and that is because I look at foods and eating in a new way. They tell you in the tapes how dieting doesn't work because it is too restrictive and we beat ourselves up when we cheat and then we gain because we think we are failures. That is so true!   • Makes reading AND learning easy!

    I bought this in cd format and book format. The cds are interesting to listen to although they don't follow the book word for word it's close enough to follow. These two fella's make learning how to lose weight easy. The book and cd are written/read in textbook style and it's not page after page of boring word after word. It's broken up into illustrations and little side notes or tips. Just like a textbook. It is written so that you understand how your body/digestion works and how the foods alter the way you lose or gain weight. It really is easy. I'm already more than halfway through the book and that's after only 2 sittings with the cds in my rare spare time. The book itself has recipes, I'm looking foward to seeing if the discs do too. I'd buy it if I were you wanting to lose weight.. ...
