Amazing Product!
After reading countless reviews and depending on the quality of the Pioneer name, I finally purchased and installed this DVD receiver...and love it! Installation was quite simple (esp. with a wiring harness ;) and was ready to go in my Smart. Equipped with only 2 speakers I wasn't sure what kind of quality I should expect, esp. since my car didn't come with a radio, but I was very impressed with the overall sound quality - I don't even have to adjust the bass! The touch screen function works like a dream and the picture quality for dvds is amazing. After acquainting myself with the user's manual a bit maneuvering through the options was pretty easy and most of them self explanatory. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality dvd receiver that also ... I'll definitely be getting another pioneer model for my next vehicle!

I love this headunit, stylish, and compatable with all my accesories...usb, sd, aux ports all up front !! Lots of power to push my rockford fosgate 6x9's without an amp. Touchsceen functionallity is great. The only drawback to this is, if you want to expand it's capabilities ( bluetooth, xm, digital radio, or navigation ) these are very expensive. The avic 220 nav is almost as much money as the whole headunit....so, if you wish to expand, I would look at another unit. Good product
I received my DVD player in a timely manner. I just now had the chance to get it installed so I haven't had that much time to play around with it. From just using it briefly, it looks like everything seems to be working properly. However, I wish I would have been informed that there was lock on the use of the DVD function while the car is in drive. Your car must have the E-brake on in order to play a DVD, which defeats the purpose of having a DVD player in your car. I used my old DVD player for road trips, so I am very disappointed in this. Everything else seems to be brand new and in working order.I received my DVD player in a timely manner. Pioneer double din review
installation of the unit went easily as most all head units. impressed with all ability to use a sd card for media sound is great, quality of picture is great, touchscreen is neat, somewhat slow reacting to reading some music, but if i really wanted to complain is the usb input is on the front which would be great if your going to use a flash drive but if your gonna hookup ipod which 90% will you have to deal with a cord draping over your dash. overall i give a 8/10installation of the unit went easily as most all head units. impressed with all ability to use a sd card for media sound is great, quality of picture is great, touchscreen is neat, somewhat slow reacting to reading some music, but if i really wanted to complain is the usb input is on the front which would be great if your going to use a flash drive but if your gonna hookup ipod which 90% will you have to deal with a cord draping over your dash. overall i give a 8/10

For the money(I paid under $250)this is a great looking, great sounding, feature packed double din unit. It give you all the adjustment you will ever need. The touchscreen is accurate and worked easily even with my big fat fingers. I added the HD and Sirius radio tuner and the AVIC-U220 nav to it and I have to tell you I can't find anything to complain about. It is a well built, solid unit that I absolutely recommend to anyone. If you want Bluetooth pay a couple extra bucks and get the BT version. It added the WOW factor I was looking for with my audio system install. If I paid $1300 for all this maybe I would rate it a 4 out of 5 but even with the HD, Sirius, and NAV it cost me under $600 total.
