I would say this concert was done in the early 70's. The picture is a little grainy because of this. But it is still a great concert. Only thing missing was their hit song "Lady". But they are a great group and very talented. This concert shows this. Glad to have it.

    Bees. Tales From the Hive: A closer look at honeybees.

    This movie was originally produced for and aired on PBS for their award-winning program NOVA. It features amazing close-up photography, following bees through the air and into the hive as they go through all the many jobs involved in sustaining the hive. We see the amazing mating flight of the queen which leads to the demise of any drone lucky enough to mate with her. She then has enough sperm to lay 1500 eggs per day for up to four years. New-born bees clean the cells they have just emerged from and then immediately set to work caring for the yet-to-be-born. Through the next several days, the young bees (all girls) learn every job in the hive until they finally become foragers, bringing back the all-important pollen and flower nectar to feed the hive.     The best movie ever!!!

    This is the best movie I have ever seen!!! It is a must see for everyone, young and old! I have been keeping honey bees for about 5 years, some of the things they show in the movie are things i could only imagine! So interesting to get inside the hive of bees with those cameras and to fly with the bees, Great filming! Amazing technology! With collony collapse disorder and the other miriade of problems the bees are having I think it would be a great class room aid for teachers. With a third of the food we eat being pollinated by bees if they were to all dye we would eventually die too! This movie would be great for non-beekeepers as well so they could gain a better understanding of the difference between good bees and wasps, hornets, etc. Too many folks grab the spray and kill everything ...

    What a great DVD on Bees.

    If you know nothing about Bees or you know everything about Bees, this DVD from Nova is something you would love to have in your library. Entertaining and informative, something for all ages. You’ll love it.

    It is the kind of quality that you can expect from NOVA. Excellent Photography. Good basic general life of the honeybee. Not the specifics taught in a Bee class
