It comes with a variety of adapters to fit many applications and voltage requirements
I just assumed with all the different connectors it came with that the one I need will be one of them. It is not. I bought something that I don't need and can't use. But I made that mistake and I can't hold it against the sellar. . I don't know if it is good quality or not. How long it lasts will determine that. It had many voilatge adjustments and connnectors for many applications so it should be good. Just what I needed
I needed to replace a power brick that had an output of 9V DC and 1.3 A. This fit the bill completely. My only problem is that the plugs that were supplied all had a sharp right angle in them, and wouldn't fit properly in my Roku Soundbridge. I managed to find a straight through replacement, and so it works perfectly. Indeed, I ordered as second one, for the next one.

I ordered new, but package was open and taped closed at the bottom?
The Powerline 1300ma universal AC adapter was exactly what I ordered. When I received it, the bottom of the plastic package was cut open. Tape was used to seal it closed. I don't know if it was used then returned? Checked the unit with a voltage meter to see if it was working (and it was). Had a problem with one of the adapters that plug into the power unit. One of the pins was bent to where it could not go into the unit. This was the adapter ( the largers one) I needed to charge my trail camera. With a little work and a brass tubing, I was able to carefully bend the pin back straight so that it could plug into the AC wall charger unit. I have some other adapters but the pins on this Powerline 1300ma universal AC are different sizes. So, Radio Shack's adaptaplugs will not work on this ... I wonder how many people that have used this have actually TESTED it with a meter? I've been using and testing AC adapters for decades, this is only the SECOND one* out of many hundreds who's voltage output is what is indicated on the adapter. Yep, that's usually NOT the case, voltages are always a considerable % over what is marked; "12v" adapters (or the "12v" settings on universal adapters) are usually about ~15v, "9v" is usually about ~12v, and so on. This adapter's settings are spot-on. This is neither a good nor bad thing, it's just something to note: If you need to power something that lights up, or performs some kind of "mechanical work", and it's a "12v" device on which you've always used a "12v" adapter (which again, usually was putting out about 15v), the device with this ... I wonder how many people that have used this have actually TESTED it with a meter? One thing that did trouble me was the voltage output at 4.5v and 3v was really unstable, jumping around a lot by about .2v both + and -, both ways. That's a variance of about .4v, might be of concern for some 3-4.5v voltage-sensitive devices. Luckily I will only be using it for 9 or 12v devices, and hopefully there won't be any issue with the devices getting lower voltage than they previously did.

Good clean steady voltage
These voltage reducers give a real nice clean steady voltage. There is no hum in the electronics they power like the older transformer type units. The voltage output is exact of what it says IE 12 volt is exactly 12 volts and stays stable when its used. unlike the older transformer type that is usually 3-6 volts higher than the rated output.
