Set these GigaWorks T40 Series speakers up in your home or office to create music quality so clear it sounds as if your favorite performers are right next to you in the room. In addition to delivering the sound you want, these GigaWorks T40 speakers look good, too. The Creative Gigaworks T40 main stereo speakers have an elegant design, and they provide you with unique audio experiences. These speakers feature a three-driver audiophile configuration, which enhances the spectral balance for whichever type of songs you are playing. Each satellite speaker features an expressive tweeter and a high-performance mid-range driver to recreate a realistic live musical experience for your home theater or music studio. That means you do not need to set up a separate subwoofer because the speakers contain three-driver, MTM, or midrange-tweeter-midrange speaker set up along with BasXPort technology. With this configuration, you end up with a sound that is a pleasing mix of tones and deep bass reverberating vibrations. Due to the glass fiber construction, you get extra durability from this pair of speakers. Unlike wood speaker bodies, a fiberglass body stands up to heat and cold as well as a bit of dampness in the air without damage to the unit. BasXPort acoustic engineering enhances the low frequency range by radiating sound wave outward, giving you a rich, mellow sound quality. These speakers have an efficient design and plenty of juice, with an 80 dB signal-to-noise ratio and 32 watts of power. The wide 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response range means the T40s will deliver all the little aspects of your music that lesser speakers might miss. The Creative GigaworksT40 stereo speakers are geared toward music, games, and movies. Thanks to a cloth dome tweeter, you get crisp sounds for audio and video. You also have access to many controls, such as volume, treble, and bass. This gives you the chance to customize the speakers’ settings, whether it’s for DVDs or games. When you want to listen to your music privately, all you need to do is Plug your headphones into the port on the speaker body. The Creative T40 stereo speakers are powered by a supply adapter and are designed to save energy. When audio isn’t being played, the speakers will automatically go into a power saving standby mode after approximately 10 minutes. The speakers will intelligently wake themselves from standby as soon as they detect audio playback. This device measures in at a depth of 3.46 inches, a width of 5.63 inches, and a height of 12.32 inches. The Creative Labs Gigaworks T40 stereo speakers features additional accessories to enhance listening pleasure. Convenient front access to volume, bass, treble and input jacks allows you to easily customize the settings for optimum performance. Additionally, Gigaqorks provides a user guide manual divided into easy to search sections for quick troubleshooting when using the device.

    Sound good but annoying as heck

    I like the way the speakers sound... but you could get a lot more for the same money. The thing that grinds me is the stupid power save feature. It absolutely drives me nuts and it can't be disabled. I'll never recommend these to anyone because of it. I don't hear all the notification sounds on my computer anymore, when I go to play a video or anything, i miss the first 5-6 seconds of audio waiting for them to turn back on / wake up... who's stupid idea was this, anyway? This has to be the most annoying feature I've ever seen.

    Bottom line: buy it!!!!.

    Beautiful finish. A plus as a decorative item in the office. Superb finish quality. Sound quality exceptional in all aspects. More than enough sound power except if you want a discotheque. Bass sound is sufficcient. Critics about Bass power must be ignored because in this aspect it all depend in the air mas that the bass speaker moves and obviously a bass this size in this type of stereo you never are going to get a powerful bass sound. Remember this is desk speaker and computer system. Bass is more than enough. Bottom line: buy it!!!!.

    Amazing sound quality!

    These are amazing for sound quality! I am so impressed. They sound better than my expensive stereo system I had many years ago. Even the bass is impressive for small cabinet/speaker size. Overall, I could not be more please...and amazed!

    So Far, So Good

    I'm familiar with Creative speakers, I have been using them for years. The Creative set that I currently use has four (4) speakers, plus a subwoofer. This here GigaWorks T40 Series speaker set up totally matches, if not surpasses my existing speaker set, and it doesn't employ a subwoofer. Very Nice indeed, and the price that the seller sold them to me for was,... "off the hook". I Love Em'. It's clearly one of my best ever purchase deals that I've gotten here on eBay.

    Good value

    Nice speakers for the price. The sound reproduction is excellent in the high and mid ranges. The base is as good as it gets for small drivers. Any better base would require larger drivers. Over all, very nice speakers.
