"Southland: Season 1" is a situation drama, showing the audience what it is like every day for the cops who walk the beat in Los Angeles. "Southland: Season 1" stars John Wells, Amy Biderman, Chris Chulack, Benjamin McKenzie, and Michael McGrady. Some of the police officers featured on the show are straight out of the academy while others are seasoned veterans, and they all look at the world in a different manner. The two-disc set includes all seven uncut episodes of the first season. Additionally, this two-disc set includes a documentary about the real story of the police officers who protect the streets of Los Angeles. This drama is not suitable for young children, since it does include some disturbing scenes.

    What were they thinking when they cancelled this show???

    Sometimes in life you get the chance to see real greatness! Southland is one of those times! Every episode from start to finish is riveting! You can't take your eyes of every frame of the picture. Each member of the cast is so believable, that you feel their emotions with them. Their devotion to their police work and their follow officers lives is wonderful to see. Their struggles with injuries,emotions, drugs, alcohol, cheating spouses, and death. There scenes that will haunt you, along with those that will make you laugh. All of this while helping the children of neighborhood to better themselves. Each one of them, should have an Emmy for their performances! I would clearly not want to be the person who pulled the plug on this show. How do you recover from the worse mistake of your ...

    This show should of stayed on forever!

    What a great show, as a New England raised kid growing up watching Adam -12 and the Rockford Files,I thought this is a great present day cop show also set in Los Angeles. I have always enjoyed the Southern CA. Background and gritty crime stories. This show Delivers! What a great Cast! This show should be brought back!!!!

    SOUTHLAND; FIRST SEASON - UNSENSORED

    I am a fan of the show, but because of my work schedule I can never seem to catch it when it is on and with no DVR, just out of luck. I bought the unsensored version to see what / how much difference there is on the ones I did get to see. There was a big difference, one episode I did catch there were some moments I questioned, but after seeing the unsensored episode I got it !. There are a lot of seenes in the DVD that make it more real and tie into other areas in other episodes that were edited and sensored out on the TV show. I recomend this version to any adult that really likes the show and wants to get a feel for what the writer had in mind.

    The best show

    It's hard to be a cop... in the city of Los Angeles. "SouthLAnd" shows that very clearly and how the cops interact with the Angelenos, sometimes they even "Crash" into one another. It's a great show about cops, their lives and struggles, it reminds me of how human they are, even when on the job and representing the law to make society safe and secure. It's a great show, not to be missed. So well deserved to be part of my movie library. If you're considering to buy it, you won't be regreted.

    Fantastic DVD,Great show,Awesome realism...

    Great show. If you like cop dramas, then you will love Southland. My kids are both cops, one from LA county, the other Orange county, and both hate cop shows because of the unrealistic view or the lack of violence the actual job consists of. It took one episode for both of my kids to love this show. The DVD has lots of extras as well. 5 star on this great cop drama....
