À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Fondly commemorating and gently poking fun at the trends, fashions, and attitudes that made the decade of the 1970s so distinct, THAT 70s SHOW chronicles the rites of passage of a group of teens growing up in the Wisconsin suburbs. Eric Forman (Topher Grace) lives with his parents, his no-nonsense dad, Red (Kurtwood Smith), and his somewhat loopy mother, Kitty (Debra Jo Rupp), and hangs out with his sometimes girlfriend, Donna (Laura Prepon), cheerleader Jackie (Mila Kunis), hunky Kelso (Ashton Kutcher), conspiracy theorist Hyde (Danny Masterson), and clueless exchange student Fez (Wilmer Valderrama). The show revolves around the ever-shifting social dynamics of the teens and their families, and despite the silliness of the sitcom situations, the show touches on serious issues (absent fathers, marital problems), and at times creates a surprising poignancy. The eighth and final season sees several key characters depart the show, including Kelso and Eric. Also watch for fresh breakups and new romances and the series winds down to a close.

  • TWILIGHT OF A CLASSIC SHOW

First, I bought this to complete the entire set of "That 70's Show." This is a wonderful TV sitcom that has given me many hours of laughs, and I consider it to be another FOX classic series. As with all good things, they come to an end. Several of the principal stars had already left by this season: Topher Grace as Eric, and Ashton Kutcher who appears in the first few season openers. But, the new character of Randy, played by Josh Meyers, is a pleasant surprise as he really adds to the existing cast. Guest stars abound in the last few episodes. Tommy Chong is also back and is a hoot as always. But, and I can't explain why TV comedies do this, they tend to get a bit serious. Do the writers run out of funny things to say, or are they trying to make a statement about growing up? I ...

  • An admirable end to an exceptional series

***SPOILERS INCLUDED -- DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS*** I've read a lot of negative reviews of the 8th and final season of That 70s Show, and for good reason. Arguably the two best characters in the series leave (Eric and Kelso) and the replacement (Randy) is inconsistent at best. Some of the final plot twists have been widely criticized, especially Fez ending up with Jackie and Hyde marrying a stripper. All of these criticisms have some validity. Certainly the final season was a difficult prospect for the writers and producers of this show. How do you keep a series fresh when you lose the two bastions of the cast? They definitely took some risks regarding plot development, perhaps in an attempt to offset the weakened cast. Some of the risks were questionable, but ...

  • Not quite the same without Eric and Kelso

Season 8 is pretty good but it was obvious that That 70's Show was at the end of the road without Eric and Kelso for nearly the entire season. It had some good storylines with Jackie realizing that she is in love with Fez after all of those years of talking smack about him, the fact that Bob finally stood up to Red, and even that Hyde temporarily quit the circle were all good storylines but let's face it, it just wasn't quite the same without Eric and Kelso! And frankly, Randy could've stayed on Mad Tv because he really wasn't that funny. Overall funny stuff but if I were looking to buy any of the seasons of That 70's Show, do yourself a favor and buy seasons 1-7 first and then if you still want season 8 go for it. Keep in mind too, this show still comes on like three different tv ...

  • Lamest season compared to the others.

Compared to all the other seasons, this one, season 8, leaves much to be desired. Kelso is gone and there is no Eric because he's in Africa. The show just doesn't have the same feel as the other seasons. It's like giving your 2 weeks notice at work, showing up, but don't care. That pretty much sums up this season.

  • That 70's Show Season 8

That 70's Show is my number one favorite sitcom ever. I already had seasons 1-7 way before I bought this. I was hesitant of getting this season because I wasn't really on board when they brought in the Randy character replacing Eric and Kelso. As a die-hard fan of the show, I made up my mind to buy the final season of the show. At least I know that the final episode of the show was a really good one.
