Avis les plus pertinents

  • Motorola Renegade V950

I purchased this phone because of it's features. It can store up to 600 Contacts (not 1000 like it states in the literature) It has a 2 Megapixel camera for pictures and can also be used as a camcorder. It accepts up to a 8GB HCSD Micro SD Card. Calender, Bluetooth,Web,MPG Player,GPS,and many other convenient features such as Sprint Mobile Sync. The only drawback to this phone is the battery life. If you intend to use a majority of the phones features than you WILL have to get the extended life batteries(That's right in plural)along with a separate wall charger that accepts just the battery. Other than that this phone works great. Just remember if your going to use a lot of power than you will need to have enough reserve power to handle it.

  • Durable, but finicky

The quality of the hardware is superb. The firmware, not so much. I broke one of these, but was so impressed with the amount of abuse it took that I bought another two for my wife and I. Dropped once from 17 feet, open, onto concrete -- cracked the exterior screen a bit, but only superficially -- the screen still worked. It got dropped in water once, (only for a few seconds, but still...) hit, dropped on concrete repeatedly, before it finally quit. The alarm stops working if you reboot the phone after turning it on, and a few other weird quirks. The antennae is above par, and the battery life is decent (well, of the 3 I've had, 1 wasn't very good, but the other 2 are much better -- so I think it was the battery). For the price, (used, excellent condition ~$40), it's the best deal ...

  • Best of the Sprint Ruggeds

This by far is the best Sprint phone I have had when it comes to reception. The audio quality is very good, and the fit and finish are high quality. The thing to keep in mind is this is a Sprint phone using the cdma network for both voice calls and Direct connect- you must have Sprint's high speed network for the dc to work. You can activate the phone without the Direct Connect function. My only complaint would be the battery life- if you are going to use the Direct Connect you will need the extra capacity battery.

  • Rugged phone with great features; but returned it

I'm reviewing the 1st v950 I purchased, so I have to give a somewhat negative review. I was a little surprised by this feature-packed phone especially for a Motorola flip; but I had to end up returning it for what seemed to be a software glitch that could not be corrected by master reset or software updates. After 2 weeks of use (and never dropped the phone even once) vibrate feature just quit working for phone calls. But it vibrated for emails and texts, and when I powered it up. I double-checked settings and tried everything possible to correct it before returning it. I am awaiting it's replacememt now. If I had a choice, I would have gone with a ic902 instead. I found out after receiving the v950 that the new Direct Connect technology it uses, Qchat is not yet available in my area. ...

  • I think it is the best non-smartphone sprint offers. Good reception.

I have had the phone for two weeks. Everything is good to very good about the phone. It came with all the direct connect stuff disconnected so battey life has been good. Phone is a little different then motorolas usual set up, but for the most part that is a good thing. Tons of menus and you can make very specific choices. Like a ringtone for numbers on your phone or numbers not in your phonebook. Again tons of menus. I really like the phone and am happy I have four of them. Haven't tried to watch the tv app.
