    Death Note DVD Box Set 1

    Death Note is, in my opinion, one of the best animes out there. The story is a bit darker then most of the other shows I like to watch, but the twists and turns in the story kept me fully interested. The thought processes and actions of the two main characters, Light and L, kept me thinking, and wondering what was going to happen next. And I found the characters, especially L, to be very intriguing. The music in the show is really dramatic, and usually fits the story very well. This first box set sticks pretty accurately to the original manga. One plus about the anime is the magnificent voice acting of the English dub. The voice actors are simply fantastic! Even people who usually prefer to watch anime in it's original Japanese might want to try watching the English version of Death ...

    Death Note Box Set 1: Great Start to an Amazing Series!

    The story starts with Light Yagami, an intelligent high school student, coming across a Death Note (a notebook that can cause the death of a person just by writing down their name). The main plot then goes with Light deciding to rid the world of all evil by killing off everyone who is a criminal. At the same time the deaths are happening, there is a group of police officers and a detective named "L" that investigate the mysterious deaths. To them, all the deaths narrow down to one person who the world adopts as "Kira". It then becomes a battle to stop and catch "Kira" from continuing to murder people. This is an amazing series because it makes you reflect on the values of what is right and wrong. Both "L" and Light are very strategic in how they plan their next move. It keeps you on the ...

    Death Note - Box Set: Vol. 1 DVD, 2008, Uncut

    if you like chess youll love this its a chess match of the minds played out or who is it with a who done it or who is it type of schem as well as staying true to the whole keep your friends close but enemies closer saying its a little far fetched but thats what makes it cool a note book that kills people but with a ton of rules that make you ask yourself if i had the chance would i use 1 lol but all in all very intense and edge of seat ride and as far as others like it i would only say code geass in the since of stratigy not real,y same battle field tho

    death note is excellent!!!!!

    i am not really a fan of japanese anime but death note is by far the best i have seen. the story line is excellent and they didn't drag the story out like they tend to when a show becomes popular. if you are into suspense this show is for you. its about a young man who finds a note book in which if you write someones name in it, that person dies. he decides to be judge jury and excecutioner and kill of criminals as he sees fit. a young detective realizes what is going on and decides he is going to catch him. very well written and i do believe its only 37 20 minute episodes. even if you don't like japanese animation this is well worth watching.

    My Favorite Show

    Death Note is my favorite show, and I was really happy to be able to get the box set of it. The DVDs are good quality, and the subs are also very good. Although I pretty much only watch subs, I found that the dub of this show is very well done. My only complaint is the excess of DVDs--they could have cut it down a little bit, I think.
