  • The Bourne Identity By: Robert Ludlum, Hard Back

This is an excellent book! The movie was wonderful, the book is FANTASTIC! A "man" had been dragged from the sea, more dead than alive. He opens his eyes & finds himself in a dirty room on the small island of Port Noir, in the Northern Mediterranean. Bullet wounds to the head had been cleansed white by the sea water. His "Doctor" had found a piece of microfilm in-bedded in his hip that displays a Swiss bank account number. The "man" has tell tale scars of plastic surgery that has altered his features. He has no memory. Only aided by the money in the Swiss bank account and very few pieces of information. (which included his name,.. Jason Bourne) The "man" has a terrific will to live, a woman that he has kidnapped, and he has to figure out who he is, all the while, eluding deadly pursuers, ...

  • Loved It

I am not a fan of spy, drama, action books and I cannot recall why I picked up the book but it was probably the only one I could find at the time I hadn't already read. That being said, I couldn't put it down...I went all over the world! Frustrated along with Jason Bourne...I felt his pain and confusion..I hoped he wasn't the executioner he thought he was and I couldn't fathom how he was going to get out of these predicaments. With skill and brute force he manages. Ludlum puts you in the action and you can feel your whole body tense at the action. You are in awe of architecture you have never seen, speak and understand the languages you have never spoke; you are Jason Boorne. I waited anxiously for the movie only to be dissapointed...If you have seen the movie you should still read the ...

  • Riveting and compelling!

This first book of the famous series is just flat-out well written. The character development is excellent and the pace disallows the reader's interest or focus to wander. For those who missed the books, but are watching the movies starring Matt Damon, you are in a perfect position to extract the maximum enjoyment this series has to offer. ALWAYS watch the movie first, when you can. If you like the movie, you will never be disappointed by the book, which is so much more dense and detailed in the mental images it can create. Reading the book first often results in disappointment from the casting and editing choices; if nothing else the people all look wrong. As this is an older series, it offers the best of entertainment experiences.

  • The Bourne Identity

This an excellent spy/foreign intrigue novel and movie. I bought the book to compare it with the movie and the book tells a more detailed story than the movie can due to time restrictions. There is nothing that I disliked about the movie or the book. I bought them both because I enjoy reading this type of novel and I enjoy this kind of movie. I recommend both the movie and the book. Also I recommend that one views the movie before reading the book then you can put a face on the main character when you read the book.

  • The Bourne Identity

I had seen the film and wanted to read the book. Although it was different from the film, it was just as exciting the story line was solid and believeable I could not put this book down, for those who haven't read the Bourne Identity it is a must. I can't wait to read the next in the series 'The Bourne Supremacy'. So for all you thriller fans, you know what to buy. Happy reading.
