À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Crash Bandicoot is the first game in Naughty Dog's popular series and follows the titular character as he attempts to defeat mad scientist Dr. Neo Cortex and rescue his girlfriend Tawna. The controls are relatively simple, allowing you to guide Crash as he jumps and whirls through the game's three islands. Defeat enemies by spinning past them or by landing on them after jumping, and make it through each stage without dying in order to unlock the next challenging level. The game contains 33 levels, which are divided between the three islands, as well as hidden areas that must be unlocked by collecting gems.

  • The original Crash Bandicoot, 15 years later

I bought this game for my wife who admittedly, doesn't really game, but she remembered playing it in her college years and wanted to find it again for nostalgia's sake. The game is still a classic and plays great, though it exposed a flaw in my Playstation 2 console. When the laser that reads discs starts going out, it won't read the old/early games that were dark blue/black/purple on the bottom. Had to get a new console due to that fact. The only reason I didn't give it an Excellent is due to graphics. Not really the fault of the game but after 15 years and seen on an HDTV, the graphics for PS1 (and even a lot of PS2) games just don't hold up. Overall we were happy with it though. My wife has enjoyed playing it with the kids and I get a kick out of ...

  • Crash to the Past!

This game brought a lot of memories and felt very nostalgic playing it. it was like 1996 all over again! I did forget how difficult it was, especially when collecting gems, but it was still nice to play again after all these years, and definitely worth the $28.60 I spent for it.

  • Be Patient when playing this game.

The one complaint that I have with the first crash compared to all of the other Crash Bandicoot's that I have played is that you can't save the game until you get 3 of his girlfriends then you have to complete the bonus round to be able to save to that point. When you get to the harder levels sometimes you have to go back 3 or 4 levels prior to being able to save it. We do enjoy playing the game, that is our only complaint. We started out with Crash Bandicoot Warped, then went to Crash Bandicoot 2. So I would say that if started at the first Crash Bandicoot and found out we couldn't save it until then, we probably wouldn't of got the other ones. On 2 and Warped you can go out and save your game immediately following a level. Also on the first Crash you see your memory card details, ...

  • IT GROWS ON YA!

the game was very fun and challenging, espeshully at a young age. the graphics I think they did relly good for one of the first ps games made. I know it sounded almost completely in a video game and it was a fantasy realism so it was as realistic as they could get then. I don't think there were many things to unlock at all exept more skill and a lot of hand eye cordination! the storyline was confrajulistick and it was also very long and took patience and quick thinking.I loved this game and so did everyone else in the household. It had four mountains to go through each with about 15 levels and as you go on there is onecboss on the first mountain, two on the second, two on the third and three on four, one of which is cortex the last boss.

  • The remake is great, but there's just something about the original....

I love this game so much. I played it when I was a kid, and even if it's so much easier going back to it as an adult, that doesn't mean it's -easy.- I think the biggest hurdle in this game is the fact that you can't save whenever you want. You can only save at certain points, like after boss fights and by clearing one kind of bonus round. For that reason alone, it's a little hard to recommend the original over the N Sane Trilogy remake, which has more quality-of-life improvements and is more accessible on multiple consoles. But I can't deny there's something super charming about the original, both in its physics and in its polygon-y PS1 graphics.
