Ipod Nano 2gb 2nd gen
Things I like about the ipod nano obviously are what others like. The portability (Slim), it's sleek, powerful and holds a ton of songs, very easy to make playlists from the Itunes software. Itunes is a pretty decent program although any songs bought from Itunes is locked to your ipod only. Can't use them in your phone, and other mp3 players you may own. Which is complete BS. The battery life on the ipod is pretty decent and should come with a wall charger as well as the usb connection cable to charge since you obviously don't have access to a computer at all times. I love that these don't use batteries at least in the disposable sense. Something I think they should work on is letting you make a playlist outside the computer a little easier. I'm still a little shaky on the "On the Go" ... Things I like about the ipod nano obviously are what others like. I don't know if it's just my ipod or what, but every pair of headphones (Non Apple) I've hooked up to the ipod, seems to jiggle it's way out of the hole. Like they don't click in quite right like Apples headphones. Maybe it's only my ipod but I'd definately like to change to some black Sony or bose headphones in the future. One thing with the mp3's that you can put on this device that makes me mad is their own compression file. M4a's are a pain in the butt. If you want a lot of music on your Itunes library and you dump all your old CD's onto it, it converts all of them into M4a files or AAC format. This isn't a big deal if you only plan on using your ipod and don't want to use the music files for other mp3 players as most mp3 players don't support m4a's. Why can't everyone just use mp3's? Another pet peeve of mine is the amount of hassle it is to share music with others. Sure some say it's "illegal", but if my friend wanted me to have a cd he could just give it to me. With an ipod, it's an involved process to find that mp3 or m4a file. And that's only if they have their ipod set to hard disk usage so it shows up on "My Computer". Other than those little things, I love my ipod. It's pretty much the best thing that's happened to music since the CD. Having 2000 songs in your pocket at the touch of a button in a sleek platform is astounding. We go back like 7 years and see people running with CD players with electronic skip protection, eating up batteries, and the bulkiness of it all, it's just great to see where we've come from in terms of portability. Goodbye wallets of CD's and searching through them to find what you want, than after finding it, find out your cd is scratched. Yep, Ipod is here to stay.

Great iPod model for kids - affordable, reliable, and easy to use
This is a great iPod for a younger music enthusiast - I purchased it for my 8 year old daughter and it has just the right mix of features. While it will display album art the 2nd Gen iPod does not include Cover Flow. The 2nd gen nano can play audiobooks and display photos (sync'd from iTunes). There is no video playback, so music videos and TV shows are not accessible on this device. For the same money I much prefer the 2nd gen nano to the iPod classic or shuffle. My I-Pod I like that I am able to store the kind of music , I like on it and not have to worry about it having a tape to get lost or a disk that will get all scratched up. I also like that it has some games on it as well would like to have more games on it. but good for now. The size of this unit is nice so when I am on a trip I don't have to worry about having to carry around a big bulky radio or cd player. I also like the ease of using the I pod it is very easy to use. The thing that I don't like that much is that you have to plug it into a computer to down load songs and that means that if I am not near a computer I am not going to download my songs. The other thing that I dislike about this is that every asseserie that goes with this unit is quite expensive. I also think that they ... Excellent MP3 Player. May be low on memory for some.
About a year ago I became interested in purchasing an MP3 Player. I shopped around trying out all the available brands at the time. My conclusion then and to this day is that Apple makes an MP3 Player that beats the rest in every aspect. Why is it so good? Ease of use. The learning curve on my Nano was 5 minutes. It is so easy to operate it's amazing. I've played with others that were just overly complex, yet did the same things as the Ipod. Quality. From my year of ownership I'd have to say that the Nano is a very well built piece of electronics. I've had no problems to date despite heavy use and the occasional accident. The battery still holds a good charge after hundreds of recharges. Accessaries! All you have to do is type "Ipod" in the ebay search engine and you will ... About a year ago I became interested in purchasing an MP3 Player. I shopped around trying out all the available brands at the time. This allows me to plug my Ipod into the car's sterio and search through my song using voice prompts! Conclusion: The only downside I see is in the difference in price. It is possible to purchase most other brands at a lower price. But you are definitely getting more for your money when you buy the Ipod for 50 bucks or so more. Hope this helps!
