Product Information

Jason Statham stars in this fast-paced and very loud thriller that was written specifically for him by French filmmaker Luc Besson. Statham (SNATCH) plays Frank Martin, a former Special Forces operative who is now a high-priced courier paid a lot of money to deliver packages he would rather know nothing about. His creed: Never change the deal, use no names, and never look in the package. But when he finds out that his latest delivery is a beautiful young woman (Shu Qi), everything changes, and he is off on a wild chase, in his specially made BMW, that includes plenty of explosions, bare-knuckle fighting, cool weaponry, and tongue-in-cheek humor. Hong Kong director Corey Yuen, who has previously worked with Jet Li, lets the action tell the story as Frank battles the bad guys in the streets of France. The score is by renowned jazz great Stanley Clarke.

    The Transporter

    WOW, just got through watching this movie, and BD made it so much more enjoyable this time round compared to DVD. I highly recommend adding this to your BD library. I don't understand why the other reviews didn't give a higher rating on PQ. It looked beautiful on my plasma and it will only do 1080i. However, the difference between 1080i and 1080p is marginal as long as you have good equipment to start with. The sound was also impressive from the DTS-HD tract.

    Rules are made to be broken.

    Transporter is a high action movies involving an ex-Special forces soldier who earns his living transporting "packages" for various clients, mostly shady. In this movie, the transporter ( Jason Stratham )violates his own rules ( he's real big on rules ) and looks inside the package, doesn't like what he sees and doesn't complete the delivery. Bad idea, now the client is after him, along with the police. The movie is set in the French countryside so if you don't enjoy the thrill-a-minute action, just enjoy the view. Highly recommended for fans of Jason Stratham , James Bond movies, and high action movies, especially car chases.

    Not your typical ass whoopin flick

    While being totally thrown for loop on the actual location of the movie given all the different accents but hey who cares when you have car chases, skull cracking, ass whoopin, explosions, crazy stunts and fight sequences. It all looks great in high def as well, the transfer job was top notch. Definately a must have in the collection (especially if you need to balance out with the other halfs "chic-flicks")
