Product Information

Still Life is a 3D point-and-click adventure that garners its "M" rating due to its gruesome subject matter. Players take the role of a gifted young FBI detective named Victoria McPherson, who is assigned to a difficult case in modern Chicago involving the apparent serial killings of (at least) five prostitutes. Frustrated by the abundance of gory, circumstantial evidence and the dearth of useful leads, Victoria visits her father for a break, to clear her mind. Here, she talks about of her grandfather, Gus McPherson, who worked as a private investigator in Prague during the 1920s.<br><br>While looking through one of her grandfather's old case files, she begins to notice uncanny similarities to the case she is currently investigating. As Victoria ponders the circumstances of both her grandfathers 75-year-old case and her own modern mystery, players travel back and forth between Chicago and Prague, as examining the horrific murders from both perspectives may be the only way solve the cross-generational crimes. Still Life was developed by Microids, the studio that created 2003's Post Mortem. Gamers who enjoyed that earlier adventure game are likely to remember Gus McPherson, who was its lead character.

    Plain average....

    I tried to give this game a go after I read the story. Found that a bit exciting and interesting. A good classic thriller. Well, to begin with, the game does a fairly good job keeping that mysterious atmosphere. I like the sometimes sarcastic comments too. Still Life is rather enjoyable but short game for those who like a classic adventure game. I also liked the voice acting. The point & click nature of the game was quite easy to get on with after the first 5-10 minutes. I had some difficulties finding the way to use an item on the environment, but it must be me...other than that it was pretty straightforward. But aside the story, the game has nothing new to offer to the gamer. The puzzles feel either too easy or familiar/similar to other adventure games. Character movement feels slow ...

    Still Life 1 Adventure game

    I'm not a big fan of scary movies and I made the mistake of playing this game on a rainy night, by myself, no kidding. The game music does a great job of contributing to the overall atmosphere. Very dark colors and shadowing are used to help you feel the environment better. The controls for this game are easy to use. The story line pulls you in and has you trying to find out "whodunnit." The two story lines were a lot of fun, kind of like 2 games in 1. I won't spoil the ending, but let's just say I can't wait till Still Life 2 comes out (but will not be playing it at night by myself)!

    Still Life

    I love this game. I am an adventure game freak. I love the kind of games where you solve one thing then move onto the next. I am not really big on going back and forth in a game. I also love crime/CSI kinds of games. This is a perfect game for me. It takes you through a crime both past and present and it is really easy to play which allows you to get into the story. The interface is easy and you play two different characters. Normally I hate switching between characters as I never know when to do it but, this game does it automatically. When you complete the task you become the other character. I recommend this game 100 %. It is without a doubt my favorite game thus far.

    Still Life PC

    Great game...As an avid adventure gamer felt this was among the best I've played. very much like the Syberia games (done by the same people). Very good graphics, chracter voices, music, and plot. All but one puzzle is solvable with common sense and keeps the story going. The game is very creepy at times...as it should be... WARNING...game is adictive, allow yourself ample time to play.

    Still Life (PC Game)

    I decided to buy Still Life because I love crime solving games. I've done the Law & Order, Law & order Criminal Intent, CSI: Miami (Favorite), and all of the CSI PC Games. I needed something to challenge me. I must say, the Still Live crime solving PC Game was indeed challenging. I enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for the opportunity to purchase this game.
