À propos de ce produit

Product Information

A 3D platform game set in the Australian Outback, Ty the Tasmanian Tiger offers players the chance to guide a boomerang-throwing carnivore on a quest to reunite with others of his species. Once Ty learns of a secret portal leading to a world of imprisoned Tasmanian Tigers, including members of his own family, he embarks on an outdoor adventure spanning four regions: rainforest, snow-capped mountains, desert, and barrier reef.

In addition to tossing boomerangs, Ty can chomp, run, glide, and swim to defeat potential threats or to advance through an area. Standing in the way of Ty's progress are 50 types of Australian animals, including a cantankerous cassowary named Boss Cass. A variety of mini-games are sprinkled into the adventure, from collecting certain items within a time limit to herding animals into specially designated areas.

  • A great play!

My cousin had Ty for PS2 and would NEVER let me play. It looked so much fun and it was based in the one place I'd die to visit some day: Australia. I know it is different in the game than in real life, but I still thought otherwise. Finding it for Gamecube was a dream and, now, I've been playing it nonstop on the Wii. I love it just as much now as I did back then! The graphics are much clearer on the Gamecube version than what I remember on the PS2 version. Althought, I do find it odd that the seahorse-can't remember her name-spoke French without english titles when she explained where the Shark Gate Pen was. I didn't understand a word, but it happened once so I'm not worried about it.

  • A solid platformer thats a lot of fun!

I bought this game because I already had the sequel, Ty 2, and I love that game a lot. I wasn't disapointed with this one either! This is a great solid platformer. There were a few things that they improved upon for the sequels, such as the rang quick select. In this game you use the left and right arrows to cycle through all your rangs until you come to the one you want. In the later games you get a visual pop up menu which is easier and faster. Same goes for boss fights. It's not made clear what you need to do. I found myself pausing the game and jumping on the internet to find out how you attack. In the later games you get hints. The levels in this game are linear to a point, in that you follow a set path to reach your objective. However, the enviroment is fully 3D, and there is still ...

  • Great Game, and awesome memories.

Originally I had reviewed the buy as a bad review because somehow along the way the package was lost and I never received it. However I did receive a full refund and would have loved to have had my game, but am happy how things worked out in the end.
