In a business context, this can amount to another layer of security as well as improving customer confidence. The Intel Xeon CPU's velocity is backed up by a capable system bus architecture. With a velocity of 702 GT/s QPI, this bus design works in sync with the chip. By eliminating bottlenecks in data traffic, throughput is improved as well as overall system speed. The Xeon E5 is served by Intel's 2011-3 LGA socket. This Land Grid Array design is compatible with both server and desktop motherboards. The socket is designed to connect with 2,011 pins located on the motherboard.
