    Hard to find recording

    I was looking for a recording of the original cast of Les Miserables and found it other places for more than three times the price. Colm Wilkinson is the actor who played Jean Valjean in this recording which is especially precious to me since I was able to see him sing it live in New York City. He asks God to bring his son home safe from war and I now have a son at war. I listen to this recording each time I pray for my son to come home and other recordings just aren't the same. I was delighted to find this recording on Ebay. The CD was exactly as promised and I am very happy to have it.     Wonderful

    I bought this CD as a gift for my mom for Christmas. She'd originally bought the Ten Year Anniversary Concert DVD (which had the voices of the original Broadway cast) and fell in love with the musical. This recording was really hard to find, and other CDs sold by different companies were a lot more expensive. I was so happy when I found this one for such a great price!! The only disappointment was that some of the voices from this CD were not the same as on the Anniversary Concert DVD, which I found surprising because they were supposed to be the same singers. But the CD is a very good recording, and my mother adores it! Hope you find the product to be just as wonderful!

    LES MIZ IS ONE OF THE GREATS!

    To put it simply, the musical version of "Les Miserables" is one of staggering achievement and destined to be remembered as one of the greatest musicals of all time. The score glows with impressive variations; the haunting lyrics tell a tale of love, mayhem and woe one usually associates with the great Stephen Sondheim. This double cd runs 104 minutes-about half of the entire show. It is not quite as famous as the original London recording, but you do not have to wade through all the Cockney accents in this Broadway recording. The story takes place in France anyway, so no British accents are needed. I saved over ten dollars by buying this cd on ebay!

    Inspirational storytelling, best in musical form!

    Fabulous story! Gorgeous music! Wonderful production! Les Miserables and Man of La Mancha are two stories that teach about what is possible as a human being - how to rise above suffering by putting love and kindness, as primary importance. Victor Hugo and Miguel de Cervantes were incredible storytellers, and their works really shine in musical form! These are the kind of stories we want to be sure to share with our children, once they are old enough. Be sure to share with them both musicals!

    Les Miserables- Original Broadway Cast (1991)

    I love Les Miserables. It is a great CD, and a very passionate musical. I have read Victor Hugo's book, and loved it too. I fell in love with the movie from playing a medely of it in our school's orcestra. So many people loved the music, that we are doing it for our school's musical next fall. The music is great, and I absolutly love all of their voices. I love many musicals, and Les Mis is my favorite! :)
