I agree with others that this is a mighty fun collection of old commercials of all types (which are clumped together by type: cigarettes, toys, etc.) However, I disagree with one writer who wished the poorer-quality reproductions be left out. The originals may not have been available, for one reason. But I do agree that if originals could have been better-reproduced, they should have. Some of the old color commercials look like they were taped with an old vidicon-tube camera, which shows up with colors bleeding all over the place, washed-out video, and so on. It is unfortunate that they were not reproduced with modern CCD-chip cameras, but at least the audio is good throughout, save the more beat-up films from the 1950s. There is a disclaimer that some commercials have been ... Worth viewing not only once, but repeatedly.
This tape consists of ads that I had vivid memories of and also faint memories of, meaning that the ads were in many cases not what I could accurately recall after so many years and events in my young life. Best of all were the ads that I had no memory of whatsoever, with familiar faces that I was able to spot right away.

These commercials sure bring back memories of the kind of commercials we used to watch. The quality isn't always very good but that's because they are such old commercials, same with color, but it definitely is fun to watch all of those old commercials so yesteryear! What a huge difference compared to the commercials we watch today. I bought this item because there are so many of the old commercials I remember and wanted to see them again. I wasn't disappointed that's for sure. It is going to take me quite some time to watch 16 hours of commercials and there are many I have never even seen before. Definitely worth the money I paid.These commercials sure bring back memories of the kind of commercials we used to watch. Great collection of commercials, most have good quality
I disliked the video quality of about 20 percent of the commercials. I feel they should have been left out. Otherwise these will bring back a lot of memories and you can't beat the price. Another good thing about this set is that the commercials are bunched together in categories, ex. cigarette ads, beer ads, soft drinks, and so on. You will definitely enjoy the drive-in ads. This is a 3 DVD set although some sellers sometime mistakenly advertised it as a 16 disc set. Too Young to Remember These, but Love Anyway!
I'm WAY too young to remember these ads, but hey, I'm a person with great taste. Commercials today don't have nearly the same pizazz these do. And I'm so thankful Mill Creek put together this wonderful collection of commercials from the "Golden Age. If you like classic ads folks, give this collection a try. Watching it will really make your day!
