A True Timeless Classic
I love this movie it is with out a doubt my all time favorite movie. The reason I say that it's a all time classic is because it has no time frame reference or time period to it. You could watch this is the year 2060 and it would still be just is original and funny as it is today and as it was twenty five years ago. I was very excited to hear that it was coming to blu-ray on the the twenty fifth anniversary. I must say that it was pretty well put together. I was very happy with all the special features and I especially liked slimer mode. It was very interesting to hear all the things that went on behind the camera from the cast and crew. It was really nice to see how beautiful the made Ecto 1 look. It was also cool to look inside and see all the cool little gadgets and ... Also if you have not checked out the Ghostbusters video game you should do so it is a very fun game. The movie itself looked better then it ever did. It was kind of grainy in some spots but you can live through them. The worst is when Winston and Ray are driving down the bridge. I blame the sony studio for not cleaning it up very well. I mean I have seen movies on blu-ray much older then Ghostbusters and there is nowhere near as much grain to the pictures. So for this great movie I think they could have done a better job of cleaning it up and giving the fans a real treat instead of a half classed job. Even with that said it's still very beautiful and colorful especially at the end with the big fight scene with Gozer the woman and Gozer the Traveler. The colors just jump off the screen. In that regard the picture has never looked better. The sound was also the best I have ever heard for this movie. I love hearing the Stay Puff Marsmellow Man walking downtown Manhatten. It was very cool to hear and also when the roof exsploded when the ecto contanment unit was shout off. All and all it was really great audio. Bottom line is if you are a fan of the Ghostbusters it is well worth it to buy this on blu-ray and if you are not formiler with the movie and want to see a great comedy defenatlly check out Ghostbusters. My hats off to the cast and crew and Ivan Reitman. I do hope they all get together and finish making Ghostbusters 3.

With a good value to add the item to your collection, the movie its self holds up to the test of time and is worth the hours of watching.

I avoided this for 32 years. Why now?
Dated and mostly unfunny, this film drips with sexism. Bill Murray's character might not have been immediately tiresome in 1984, but I was well tired of it within the first few minutes. Great title song, though. One can't deny the title song.

"Good Blu-ray Of 80's Classic!"
Bill Murray & more star in Ivan Reitman's 1984 comedy. A group of scientists go into business as paranormal exterminators. I've always liked this film and had the collector's dvd, but decided to upgrade to this. I had concerns before buying it about how grainy the picture was going to be after reading reviews. There's not much, picture looks nice, colors & detail are better defined, sound is great plus there's some neat extras. my second of this movie on blu-ray
i unknowing bought this in a earlier sale i thought i was getting the second ghostbusters but it was this same 1 but that was ok i like the first 1 much more then ghostbusters 2 that i would rather have 2 of this classic then any of the others, this way i now have a back up copy this movie is for sure one of the best comedy horror movies for all time 2 thumps up for this very cool movie and having it on blu-ray is where this classic should be on. i would recommend to get this on blu-rayi unknowing bought this in a earlier sale i thought i was getting the second ghostbusters but it was this same 1 but that was ok i like the first 1 much more then ghostbusters 2 that i would rather have 2 of this classic then any of the others, this way i now have a back up copy this movie is for sure one of the best comedy horror movies for all time 2 thumps up for this very cool movie and having it on blu-ray is where this classic should be on. i would recommend to get this on blu-ray
