This Nikon D7100 Digital SLR with the 18-105mm lens kit has a 24.1-megapixel DX format image sensor that means you could practically blow up your photos to billboard size without losing resolutions, but that’s just the beginning of its performance and capabilities. DX-format CMOS sensor creates sharp photos in any lighting situation, with any filter and at any size. The ISO performance from is excellent through the range and works at high speeds. As well as incredible low-light performance with or with flash, it boasts ultra-precise autofocus and metering. The Nikon D7100 uses 51 focus points, including 15 cross-type sensors for detecting both vertical and horizontal contrast variations. It has a highly accurate 2016-pixel RGB sensor that evaluates every scene, taking into account brightness, contrast, subject distance, and color. There is also Face-Priority and full-time autofocus during video capture. When the action speeds up, for example a blazing fire rushing across the horizon, it can kick into 6 frames per second continuously for up to 100 shots capturing details in shot after shot with no blur. It comes with an 18-105mm lens which is a compact 5.8 zoom ideal for interiors, portraits and landscapes. You can also use your existing favorite Nikon zoom lenses if you want more focal length or purchases compatible specialized lenses. The 7100 uses recent advancements in technology, such as a built-in HDR, and mobile connectivity to take these amazing images and deliver them to the world in an instance. To instantly transfer shots to a compatible smartphone or tablet, connect the optional WU-1a Wireless Mobile Adapter. You can upload your shots to the web or send them via email or text. When you install Nikon’s free Wireless Mobile Utility on your smartphone or tablet (available for both Android and iOS), you can remotely control your D7100 images on your phone or tablet as a Live View monitor. You can even use your phone or tablet as a Live View monitor to take shots when you’re not holding the camera. The D7100 inspires artists to new heights with its functions. You can combine shots taken simultaneously at different exposures into one beautifully rich, high-contrast image in your camera. Picture Control gives you instant access to the color characteristics of your images, and spot white balance control for Live A new 3.2-inch ultra-high-resolution 1,229K-dot LCD monitor provides crisp image playback and the viewfinder works on a low-power electro-luminescent (EL) data display. The Nikon D7100 also use a dual SD card slot to allow longer recording time in video mode The Nikon D7100 also has full-time autofocus and manual exposure control during video recording, a built-in stereo mic and an external stereo mic jack, headphone and HDMI jacks. It captures cinematic quality video in several high-definition formats. The D7100 is considered a high-end Nikon so the camera body is made for ease of handling and durability from a magnesium alloy body which is moisture resistant and dust resistant.     Great product. Very satisfied and excited.

    Overall this is a great camera. I upgraded from a Nikon D3100 and it was a big jump. You have to really take time to get to know the camera since there are many settings. So far photos of stationary people and scenery are great. I have yet to use it for motion photography. The kit lens is pretty good in most conditions, depending on your settings. Camera is a little heavy, but its bigger and better! I love how easily the settings can be changesc(iso, picture quality, size, etc.) And I love the dual memory cards and how each can be setup to act differently.

    Great camera

    Great increase of image detail over my older camera. This model has many more options and came with excellent lenses.

    Great lens

    This is a great lens. The item was just as described. It has great image quality and is a perfect "walk around" lens with the 10x zoom range. Nikon now has an 18-300 (in two versions), making the price of this one even better. Unless you need that extra 100mm of reach, go for this lens. You won't regret it.

    D7100 Excellent

    Fantastic Camera. I've have a F4, DX40, D90, D7000, DD7200. For th money it's the best of all of them currently
