À propos de ce produit

Product Information

By 2009, the Guitar Hero franchise had over 400 songs spread across a number of different games. Since some of these games were on older platforms, Guitar Hero players needed to switch between their PlayStation 3 console and their older systems to play the song they wanted; "Guitar Hero: Smash Hits" solves that problem. With this release, Activision collects 48 of the most popular songs taken from five different games, including "Guitar Hero II" and "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock," and compiles them onto one disc.Like previous games in this series, "Smash Hits" features a variety of modes. In the Career mode, the God of Rock tasks you with powering an ancient artifact. The only way you can power this object is by playing music at venues of great power. At each venue, there are a number of tracks you can play. Pass each one with a positive star rating to unlock new venues and more challenging tracks. As you play through the Career mode, you'll unlock new clothing options for your in-game characters. However, finishing the story is just the start of the fun. Quickplay mode will allow you to choose any song in the game. Every song is available from the start, so players can skip the story and jump right into playing."Smash Hits" uses similar gameplay systems as "Guitar Hero World Tour." You can use vocals or choose to play three different instruments: lead guitar, bass guitar, and drums. Then, you'll either jam alone or form a full band with one player on each instrument. On each track, notes will scroll down from the top of the screen. When each note hits the bottom, press the corresponding button on your controller. Successfully hitting notes will raise your multiplier, which will increase your score. You'll also fill a star meter for each note hit. When this meter is full, activate it to double your multiplier for a limited time. At the end of the game, you'll receive stars based on how well you performed. This PS3 game also has multiple difficulties. With each level of difficulty, the notes scroll faster and more of them appear on the screen. If you fail to hit enough notes, the song will end prematurely, and you'll be booed off the stage. The 48 tracks in this title were reworked to accommodate all the instruments. Tracks that normally have a solo for just one instrument now feature additional sections for the other ones. All of your favorite rock bands are present in this PlayStation 3 game. The band list includes Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, and Alice in Chains. The setlist is a collection of the greatest hits from previous Guitar Hero games. You'll find heavy metal songs like "Cowboys from Hell" and "Killing in the Name" on this disc. Classics from yesteryear, like "More Than a Feeling" and "Message in a Bottle," are perfect for older fans. Additional tracks like "Play With Me," "Through the Fire and Flames," and "Smoke on the Water" are also included. Finally, classic rock anthems like "Beast and the Harlot" and "Bark at the Moon" are available.

  • Feels like an add-on/DLC, with no

Looks nice and clean, all the meters and numbers are easy to read. I used to get distracted by all the pop ups like the note streaks. The song have all been redone, some for the better, some for the worst. Some of my favorite songs have been butchered tho. Raining Blood is now fairly easy on any setting, I loved that song because I couldn't beat it without a real fight. On the other end the song by Lamb of God has been cleaned up and is now a great song to play and not just a hassle. Lots of songs, I like that career can be completed on more than one difficulty and that all scores can be seen at once. The trophies are a little stupid aswell. They added a bunch of trophies for singing and playing with 4 and 8 people. Getting all the trophies in this game requires buying a full band worth of ...

  • Guitar Hero Hits

Personaly I like this game. Most of the tracks are from 80's and 70's, yeah I know too many old bands. I think the best Guitar Hero game for me is LEGENDS OF ROCK since you can face Slash and Tom Morello and its graphics are awesome. Guitar Hero Hits has new features to play the game, I like to use both hands to press colors in the guitar, that is cool. Good piece for your collection of Guitar Hero.

  • It is what it is...

I like being able to play all four instruments on the songs off the earlier versions of GH. I love the fact that you can play expert + now on drums(the main reason I bought the game), but after you've played all the songs twice...you may find the game a bit boring. I would suggest this game to someone who doesn't have the ealier GH games or someone who is really into the vocals or drums. Not having any cover songs is great too, but Cowboys from Hell live...really,live??

  • Guitar Hero Smash Hits is a smash hit

I love this gaming franchise, I get to interact with people and have fun socially.Thought logically for a while and decided to get this game. Instead of going out and spending a $100 something bucks on a ps2 guitar controller and GH 1,2 and Encore the 80's. I did research on Smash Hits and it turns out that the songs from the previous games were done by a cover band. Smash Hits the songs are now master recordings, meaning original and can now play the drums or sing the songs you sang along with in the previous games and it only cost me $50.00. Why waste money on getting the old stuff when you can have the better version sung by the orignal band and the fan voted songs in the game. I would rather have Smash Hits. Graphics as technology is today, are getting better in this game series and ...

  • Guitar Hero still rocks

This game never gets old lot of great songs using the master tracks.A must have title to ad to your Guitar Hero line up.
