One of Activision's most successful franchises joins forces with one of rock's most enduring bands in Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. The series, known for making gamers feel like rock stars, first put real rock stars into games with the inclusion of guitar gods Slash and Tom Morello as boss characters in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, but Guitar Hero: Aerosmith lets players follow the legendary Boston-based quintet's ascension from the tiny Nipmuc High School auditorium to center stage at the Super Bowl XXXV halftime show. More of a healthy, Aerosmith-themed expansion of Guitar Hero III than a completely new entry in the series, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith nevertheless offers more than 40 new rock songs to which gamers can shred. The track list is heavy with Aerosmith classics like "Dream On," "Sweet Emotion," and "Rag Doll," but the game also features songs from groups that have influenced or toured with the band, including Mott the Hoople, New York Dolls, and The Black Crowes. Gamers can begin as familiar characters from Guitar Hero III like Axel Steel and Midori, but eventually they'll be able to jam as guitarists Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton. New outfits become available as players progress through the six venues, and for the first time in the series, all five members of the group will be on stage at once. Lead singer Steven Tyler spent a month shooting motion capture video, while Perry, Hamilton, and Brad Whitford shred on dozens of real guitars from their personal collection, all of which can be unlocked. Though Guitar Hero: Aerosmith features standard issue rhythm-based gameplay, the single-player difficulty level has attenuated, and gamers are only confronted by one boss battle. Co-op career mode has been removed, but gamers can still go head-to-head or unlock songs cooperatively in the regular career mode. The online modes from Guitar Hero III remain the same, but downloadable songs are not supported.

ps3's Guitar Hero Aerosmith
Guitar Hero Aerosmith is a great game much like Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock however, there is only about 40 songs and a few bonus tracks. If It would have had around 20-30 more songs on the main play list it would have been perfect 10/10 100% awesome. It is still a really great game that allows you to play a few random but good/well known songs at the beginning of each song set and then brings aerosmith onto the stage with a few of their songs. Guitar Hero Aerosmith does have 1 guitar battle at the end of the game and unlocks an additional song at the end as well. One of the things that I really like about this game is that the vault where you can purchase songs, guitars, finishes, videos, etc has tons on top of tons of guitars for sale. Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
I say this in everything I write towards video games, "I have played video games FOR A LIVING!" So I know what is good and what isn't I was raised on atari and currently play xbox 360, wii, and PS3 today. I have no bias on the platforms because they all offer unique advantages, "To each his own". So, onward with the review! I would consider myself an expert on guitar hero, I can play Scream Aim Fire, Satch Boogie, all the INSANE difficulties; however, even my wife (who can't play beginner on anything) found this game far too easy to play. If that is what you are looking for, by all means BUY IT. However, if you are looking more for a challenge, I recommend the Metallica installment. Overall I found this game to be quite short (with 31 songs in all), and little to no extras and little ... Divertido, mas cansa!
Decidi comprar porque nunca havia jogado nenhum Guitar Hero, e minha esposa amou o jogo quando o viu pela TV. O jogo é realmente divertido, as músicas são excelentes, as dublagens perfeitas e, claro, exige muita coordenação motora. Mas não gostei de algumas coisas: Os gráficos estão muito abaixo do que espera de um jogo para PS3, pois a versão para PS2 tem gráficos semelhantes (vi no Youtube); Na hora do desafio contra o Joe Perry, quando ele executa o especial, a tela treme e você não consegue enxergar as notas. Bola fora da Activision... O jogo é enjoativo e não traz novidades para quem termina o jogo, o que faz com fique parado na sua casa até que tenha alguma festa e você o use como atrativo; Enfim, pelo preço que paguei, valeu a pena, e muito, levando em consideração que eu ... A great game
This game is just awesome! It's included the "best" Aerosmith songs and other bands that Aerosmith like, there's no better songlist! Of couse i missed some songs, cause Aerosmith have a lot of music, but you can't put all that just in 1 game. Also, i missed Yardbirds songs, this band influencied Aerosmith so much, i think they deserved at least 1 song on the game (like New York Dolls, altough cover). Well, apart it, the game is really great, you don't need to be 1 addicted player that play it all day and night to be an expert (ok, it can be a bad point for you, but not for me). Finally, the graphics are amazing and the virtual band is really look-a-like the real Aerosmith. Ah! You can play on the web too, it runs perfectly, i would recommend this game to everyone who enjoys have fun time ... This game is just awesome!
