barely surpassing 'little einstein' lobotomizing stuff
I got this DVD after finding the Art Show. Art Show is wonderfully done, with love for music and art, a great example of synergy between two art forms on a level understandable for children without making it poor and empty. This dance DVD is, unfortunately, typical of your average computer animation. Disconnected is the word that comes to mind, and that's a huge contrast with the Art Show. The animated characters don't move to the music, no synergy, no nothing. Animated backgrounds, very simply animated. On a positive note, it's still a little bit better as the little einstein stuff, that must have been made for aliens. If you want your children to be exposed to classical music, and have no other way of accomplishing that, this might be a good way. Would I have enjoyed it better without ... Wonderful!
My daughter absolutely loves Classical Baby! We had HBO which is how I first knew of the program, and then we unfortunately got rid of HBO and although I had taped the program, I somehow lost it! We watch this DVD every night before bedtime. It's visually stimulating, the music is excellent and my daughter loves to dance and sway to it. She is 2 years old, but has been watching this since she was just a few months old (I thought the classical music would be soothing). It's very creatively put together and I just think that music is so wonderful for children. I could also see how it would benefit older children, as, depending on which DVD you buy, it teaches famous artwork, classical music pieces, and dance. I myself enjoy watching and listening to it! Engaging presentation.
Great, engaging animation using classical music. It exposes toddlers in a wonderful way, to that music and those artists and composers.

Clasical Baby Dance
My two year old and my four year old love this video and I must say that my husband (not a fan at all of childrens videos) really liked the music. It has funny little skits of cartoons dancing to the music. They watched it twice the first day we opened it and have watched it at least once a day since. It is only about 30 minutes long and has a calming effect even though they do dance to it.
