Dick Tracy - The Complete Animated Series (2006, DVD)
If you are a fan of Dick Tracy then this is a must have. Most of us baby boomers will remember this animated series from the mid 60's. I am personally glad that the distributors are finally giving us animated fans a complete series instead of 3 to 5 episodes at a time. This disc set covers the complete 130 episode series and has all the god guy-bad guy characters. Each show runs approximately 5 to 6 minutes and has Dick Tracy always letting the chief know he'll get right on it when a crime happens. Of course, all Dick does is send his minions out to catch the bad guys and thwart their evil doings. A very enjoyable series with similarities in sound effects and animation you find in the Underdog Show.If you are a fan of Dick Tracy then this is a must have. AWESOME VINTAGE TV
This 1961-62 cartoon series has very little in common with the famous comic strip, so if you are a fan of the comic strip, this cartoon night prove very disappointing, perhaps even insulting. But this show IS A CARTOON MEANT FOR CHILDREN. If you can get past the racism by remembering the white-male power system dominated the world in those days, you'll discover that adults as well as kids will get a kick out of the cleverly written dialogue spoken by characters with voices and personalities based upon those of major movie stars of yesteryear. This isn't surprising, considering the cartoon features some of the greatest voice actors in the business, not to mention a group of writers who would go on to script stories for major cartoon enterprises. In short, this series is a BLAST!! Nostalgia
Great set for nostalgia! I still find these amusing even 20+ years later, and character stereotypes add to the humor (though I know that's wrong to say these days) worth a buy and this has all 120 episodes. They're only 5 minutes each but that's about how long my attention span for old cartoons is so it works!

Dick Tracy - The Complete Animated Series
The tittle is a bit misleading for those of us that were not familiar with the show it should have been titled "friends of Dick Tracy". It featured Tracy behind a desk calling on his friends(joe jitsu and go-go gomez to name a couple) to go catch his bad guys, and showing up and the end of each short just to collect the baddies after they have been apprehended; he gets no action except by a couple of times when he gets kidnapped and has to rely on his goofy crew to get rescued this an ok cartoon but if you are a Dick Tracy fan expecting to see Tracy battling gangsters the way is seen in his comic srip or the movie this show is not for youThe tittle is a bit misleading for those of us that were not familiar with the show it should have been titled "friends of Dick Tracy". Great Memories!
I love these DVDs! Takes me back to my childhood. And some of the characters I totally forgot about. It's like reuniting with old friends!
