I was pleasantly shocked by this movie. Not shocked as in "blimey! that made me jump!" but shocked as in "oh my god, another crappy PG-13 horror movie, this will probably suck" but it DIDN'T! (I know, amazing) I think the reason that this movie was not horrible as expected is because it is not actually an out and out horror movie. It is a small part horror, a small part thriller and a small part drama. You mix it all together and you get... well, this. A priest who has all but given up on his faith decides to perform one last exorcism, and also thinks that it would be interesting if he takes along a documentary crew along to film the proceedings. Now the priest pulls no punches, he admits up front that his "exorcisms" are completely fake, and that he ... I was pleasantly shocked by this movie. So the priest and his cameraman (and director) set off to Hicksville USA (just a random god fearing backwards hillbilly type country village) and performs his "exorcism" but strangely this does not help, does this mean that the girl really is possessed? Filmed in a documentary style (kind of similar to Paranormal Activity in the "reality" stakes) this makes the film feel much more authentic than your regular horror flick, however (and this is a HUGE however) whenever something "spooky" happens.... MUSIC APPEARS!!! how the heck does that happen? either you are a film or you are a documentary, you cannot be both. This RUINS the atmosphere in certain parts of the movie. Other than that, I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed this one, and I never saw the end coming either (which is always a bonus for me - yay!)

The Last Exorcism
Wow!! Very cool movie indeed with a lot of twist and turn. I can't never guess what the end would be like until it's ended. A must see for anyone who is not afraid of the thing; the unexplainable thing outthere.

No horror movie
It was more of a documentary,than a movie.Not at all what I expected.The dvd was good quality but the movie was a dissapointment.
