Good book for12.00 i paid for it.
It seems to be inspiring to my 16 year old who has been dreaming of becoming an animator for a while. Was cool to see him relate to the a author's story. He says it has a lot of helpful things in it.

For the animators this is the BIBLE. The best book EVER written about classic animation and a MUST for all of us, the people working in this field. Personally I send it all over the world when I work with a new team of animators. The author, Richard Williams had the privilege and the luck to work with Disney's 9 old men, the best animators in the world. All the knowledge he took from them is passed to generations to come in a very nice, easy and beautifully drawn way. God Bless You Richard!For the animators this is the BIBLE. Animation is complex, detail oriented, literally drawing by drawing and William's intellectualizes and democratizes that process.
Only starting it, great writing. Inspiring detail, awesome platform for giving away a gift that's becoming, sadly, lost.

If you're an animator, you need this
I am a beginning animator going to an Art Institute and, I have to say, buying this book has proved a life saver! It breaks down the basics of animations (the bouncing ball to intricate camera moves) and shows different ways that you can achieve varied effects. I would of completely failed my Intro 2D class if not for this book. I just couldn't grasp the style that my professor used until I bought this book.
