While I am pleased with the item, I am most unpleased with the false advertisement regarding shipping. Listed as Expedited Shipping (USPS Priority Mail) then shipped USPS ground advantage (AKA the cheapest slowest option) which is not an expedited service. Which technically should fall under the eBay money back guarantee, since a specific service was listed. A lot of people use shipping as part of the buying decision. I suppose I could return it since it is not technically what I paid for

I PURCHASED THIS SET PRIMARILY FOR AQUIRING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER
I already had a set of earphones which came with my Insignia CD player. They produce a fine sound and the cover over the ear portion is much more durable than what came with the earlier CD Insignia players. I needed the remote that was part of the set, because mine had a wire that had broken where it was connected to the remote and would not work properly. I love the remote and all its functions- It can skip forward or back to a tune or reading section with a book. It also has an excellent volume control and pause button all that are useful, again when interrupted when listening to text or music, allowing you to continue right where you paused. Great value for listening to audio books.
I wanted a player that would play audio books on both CD and MP3 CD formats while I'm walking. This one does both well. I had to return a player that I bought previously because it kept stopping when playing MP3 discs. This one moves right along. Controls are easy to use and conveniently located on top of the player. The price is more than reasonable. I don't know how this would be for a music buff.
