Bill 'Grumpy' Jenkins: Chevrolet and drag racing legend.
This book seemed to be very well researched, and was put together in a very readable form. I really enjoyed the numerous great pictures depicting drag racing history such as Dave Strickler, Sox & Martin, York US 30, and of course all of the series of Grumpy's Toys. The fact that, except for 2 years as a "Dodge Boy", Bill always stuck with Chevrolet is truly amazing. What great loyalty displayed by a truly great drag racing legend.This book seemed to be very well researched, and was put together in a very readable form. I really enjoyed the numerous great pictures depicting drag racing history such as Dave Strickler, Sox & Martin, York US 30, and of course all of the series of Grumpy's Toys. The fact that, except for 2 years as a "Dodge Boy", Bill always stuck with Chevrolet is truly amazing. What great loyalty displayed by a truly great drag racing legend.

Great book-lots of previously unknown trivia about racing and Bill Jenkins.
This a great book for any gearhead into drag racing. I bought it as a gift for my brother who worked at SRD Race Cars-the guys who built many of Bill's cars, along with a number of top flight Pro Stock and Modified cars. A lot of information here for the first time-really ties together the timeline of Bill Jebkin's life and contribution to racing. Buy this book-you won't put it down until you have read every page!This a great book for any gearhead into drag racing. The "Bible" of Grumpy's Toys
Couldn't think of a more complete history in one place about Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins and his cars than this book by Doug Boyce. Very well done!

An excellent history of the Drag Racing accomplishments and outstanding Engineering of one of the greatest men that I have known in my life time.
