Product Information

In a grim future America, Maggie (Bridget Fonda), a beautiful young street punk, is about to be executed for killing a cop during a robbery, and is given the choice between death or becoming a government assassin. She accepts the latter and is trained in all manner of martial (and feminine) arts. She ably carries out her deadly assignments, and is groomed to become a powerful killer. Maggie is given a new identity, becomes the seductive Claudia, and is sent to Venice, California, where she begins her new life. But the training takes only too well: the formerly amoral murderess proceeds to fall in love with a photographer (Dermot Mulroney) and develop a conscience. Now she wants out, but the government isn't about to let her go without a fight. Director John Badham's remake of French director Luc Besson's LA FEMME NIKITA is a stylish and thrilling adaptation, featuring a solid performance from Bridget Fonda.

Very entertaining!!!
Bridget Fonda, was the best in this action packed thriller. From the start to the end, there was mystery to keep you interested. Bridget (Maggie) plays a misfit convicted of murder, and sentenced to death. Gabriel and Anne transform her into a trained assassin, when she accepts the choice from a convert government. Maggie is well trained, but a love interest comes into the picture. And gives her a outlook on what a normal life could be. Love it!
Haven't seen this movie in a very long time. Seen it was selling for a good price had to buy gonna enjoy a movie night with the family. Great movie must watch if u haven't already. Price was good & delivery was even better came sooner than expected. Thanks so much for a speedy delivery.

Nothing deep, but entertaining.
Disk is two sided: wide screen and standard. Watching standard side, disk stopped running near the end. I had cleaned the disk prior to viewing. Fortunately the wide screen side played until the end. I bought this specifically to compare to Le Femme Nikita. This is a close copy of the earlier film. Fonda's portrayal of a delinquent is better that Parrilaud's. Le Femme Nikita, however is the better movie, although both strain credulity. Fonda tries too hard to be Zena Warrior Princess who can thrash much larger opponents. The weapons handling is not well done nor the choice of weapons. As an escape in the complete suspension of disbelief it's worth an evenings watch; particularly if you've seen the Luc Beeson version. Great movie
This is an excellent thriller. Very engaging with lots of twists and turns. I love the acting and some lines are unforgettable...I never minded about the little things.

Point of No Return is one those movies that proves my point that movie critics are idiots. This movie got no respect. All the movies critics thought the original film La Femme Nikita which this based on was much superior. All I can say to that is they are full of bologna. Bridget Fonda is a much superior actress than Anne Parillaud and a lot better looking. I think the general opinion is that the only Fonda's worth mentioning are Jane and Henry Fonda. This is a real shame because she is a good actress. The action scenes are much better in Point of No Return. The scene in the restaurant where she takes the guy out then dives through the laundry shute. The movie has an excellent cast including Dermot Mulroney,Gabriel Byrne,Anne Bancroft,and Harvey Keitel. John Badham is the director of ... Point of No Return is one those movies that proves my point that movie critics are idiots. This movie got no respect.
