Product Information

This fishing sim angles for realism, featuring real-life lakes stocked with 30 different species of fish, and bolstered by Minnesota-based In-Fisherman brand equipment. Choosing the right rig of rod-and-reel, and from more than five dozen faithfully rendered In-Fisherman branded lures and live bait options, players can enter bass and walleye competitions, or just kick back and see what bites. Custom contests can be created as well, allowing players to compete to catch the most pike, catfish, trout, salmon, or other variety. Fishing takes place on virtual versions of one of ten American lakes, such as Minnesota's Lake of the Woods and South Carolina's Santee-Cooper Reservoir. Changing weather, a time of day cycle, and varying water conditions are all designed to add to the authenticity of the experience and special "Pro Tips" include information that will help front room fishermen make the most of their cast.

    Great 2nd person game play

    In-Fisherman Freshwater Trophies was bought as a gift. The "props" (models & textures) are a work of art, nice graphics. The game-play is a very strong 2nd person similator. The family declares it is like watching a TV fishing show. The scenery, lure action below water and the fish action-reaction is appreciated more to a teaching tool for the younger family members. It does a fine job at exposing many elements of fishing from a boat. Although, it falls short in teaching boat safety and real-world navigation cicumstances, more to action game playing from a bass boat. However, the children gained a better "vision" of what goes on below the water for when they go fishing in the real world. This game, Freshwater Trophies, is a better angler teaching aid rather than a 1st person point-of-view ...

    In-Fisherman Freshwater Trophies (PC Games)

    Excellent fishing game. I've got four different fishing games and I think this is probably the best one. The fish are, by far, the best detailed of any of the fishing games. They look like you had taken a picture of a real fish. Great detail throughout the game. Quickly move from one place to another by clicking on the detailed maps of the lakes. You can also drive your bass boat from one place to another as well as use your trolling motor. The Pro Tips are very helpful. There is one other fishing game that is very similiar this game, Pro Bass Fishing 2003, but the graphics are better on this game. This game will load in Vista without any compatibility problems but I've learned that the game will run better if you load it as XP.

    NEEDS TO BE UP DATED

    This is an older game that needs to be reworked to be played with newer version of WINDOWS. In the past I have really enjoyed this game. However I can still play the game with the exception of a few up grades that need to be corrected. If these few problems could be dated, this game would become more great again. This is a very realistic game and many fisherman would enjoy it, if it were up dated. I would be the first in line to buy the newer game, until then I will still play the game with its problems.

    fishing

    It is a fun game - has some minor flaws but is fun and relaxing to play. I would recommend if the price is not too high. I have not found that the fish do actually jump out of the water or even give good fights, but the graphics are good and you can watch your casting and bate action.
