Following Lineage: The Blood Pledge, by most accounts the most successful online game of its time due to unprecedented popularity in Korea, this sequel offers a revised version of the massively multiplayer persistent world, designed not only to retain its nation of devoted fans but also to win new players from around the globe with its accessible play and state-of-the-art presentation. While the original relied on 2D graphics to bring its realms of swords and sorcery to life, Lineage II runs on a version of Epic's Unreal engine and features fully 3D characters and environments.<br><br>Lineage II is designed to offer far more character customization options than its predecessor. In designing an avatar, the player chooses gender, race, basic attributes, a name, and decides whether the character will specialize in physical combat or magic use. More specific classes and skills are determined gradually, as the character gains experience and levels up. Player characters can be humans, elves, dark elves, orcs, or dwarves, each race with its own in-game culture and home starting city. Appearances change dynamically depending on the clothing, armor, and weapons a character has equipped. Pieces of armor exist as separate polygonal objects, and can change not only the color and texture but the physical profile of the characters who wear them.<br><br>While much has been improved over the original, Lineage's most popular and distinguishing features return in Lineage II. Despite the 3D presentation of the sequel's online world, character actions are controlled through a straightforward point-and-click interface, as in the earlier games. The blood-pledge system continues to encourage characters to organize themselves into clans, providing a sense of social structure for newer players as well as challenging leadership opportunities for higher level heroes. Castle sieges also remain an important part of play, culminating in intense, drawn out battles between scores of organized, human-controlled opponents.

Beautiful Anime Inspired MMORPG
This Korean, Anime-inspired MMORPG can be very rewarding, Full of content updated with new chronicles often, new-age graphics, and plenty of character customization. The game features severe PvP (player versus player) content, basically allowing any character to kill anyone of any level. Noob slaying is quite the norm in this game, in other words, if you are just starting the game, you will find yourself in a new-player island of some sort, in which high levels will wait outside the town gates for you to slaughter you in one blow. The game was also designed for in-game racism, humans hate the dark elves, the dark elves hate everyone but tolerate the orcs, the white elves hate dark elves, but tolerate humans sometimes etc. Causting more inspired Murders just at the sight of your pointy ... Fun and exciting at first, knowing there could be a murderer around any corner, it goes from fresh to stale in about 10 deathblows in a row. Soon, you'll be pouring out your rage in broad chat telling the murderer to leave you the *$#@ alone.. But as you get higher in level, you'll realize that the other players will begin to have a bit more respect for you, and you'll quickly learn the names of the notorious murderers who roam the lands looking for blood. Mounts are not easy to come by in this game, but very rewarding. They are called "Striders" and after a long, long tedious quest, you'll find a baby dragon at your side, and as you level him up you'll see him grow into a ridable mount that is quite powerful. You can also update the Strider with weapons and armors. Leveling up is a very long process. As a matter of fact, it is the slowest I've ever experienced. Levels to to 80 now I think, and only the first 10 will be relatively short. You will spend weeks and weeks on end trying for that next level at most points, but the various armors available to higher levels will keep you up all night striving. Probably the most important factor of the game is the Castle Sieges, they are events that take place on weekends where players can join to try to overcome or hold different castles. There are players spewing fire from their flying wyverns, the clashing of swords, and magic abound as hundreds of players fight to claim the castle walls. Overall, a very addictive, fun, well put-together MMORPG, My second favorite beside Dark Age of Camelot. If you can make it past those noob levels, and don't mind players hating your in-game race, and if you enjoy murdering and being murdered then you could have yourself a winner. -Nathan www.geocities.com/nathan_gdawg

Games is good
Great game i have played it for 2 1/2 years and this makes my 5th account. Love the game and the people in it. Lots of bots and most of the servers are ran by 1 or 2 mojor alliances. thats the downside. I have made many friends in this game and it has great graphics and most events are dicent to make money on. Andy
