A Dark Interesting look a functional addiction
This film is based on a true story. It is a dark serio-comedy about a successful screenwriter and his addiction to heroin. It is based on one of the writers of the TV show ALF, and of course there is a fictional puppet based show that our lead character is writing for. The interesting thing is that unlike "Trainspotting", this shows a person functioning through their addiction for the most part. He is still working and being successful as he spirals deeper and finds more people like himself that will help support his lifestyle choices. Ben Stiller turns in a different performance than you expect from him, showing the hurt and trials of his character while solidering on through his life. Not one for the kids to see, but adults will enjoy the engaging story and characters.This film is based on a true story. Hard to Believe it's a True Story
This is the hardest movie I've ever had to watch because I thought I was familiar with druggies, but apparently I'm not familiar with them at all...this guy had a thousands of dollars a week to spend and the movie shows him spending and using and still managing to get jobs after losing others. Drug dealers sell their wares from the rehab parking lot. It's difficult to see real-life in that way, on the messed-up side, but the other side is the struggle by some to get out.This is the hardest movie I've ever had to watch because I thought I was familiar with druggies, but apparently I'm not familiar with them at all...this guy had a thousands of dollars a week to spend and the movie shows him spending and using and still managing to get jobs after losing others. Awsome movie!!
Love this movie, Ben Stiller is a genius in this. Great serious role!! Elizabeth Hurley is great in this as well!! Amazing storyline, you feel for the characters!! If you haven't seen it, it is a must see movie. Hard to find, but worth the time to find it!!!!!

I can't believe this movie didn't get more press, its wonderful. If you know anybody with an an addiction to heroin/oxycontin/dilaudid...etc I believe this movie portrays the the junky life especially well. asdfaa asdfasdfasdfaaaaaa a a s d b d r e s g e d a s d f sd . asdfkj asldkjf. alksjddf. lkjs. ...
