À propos de ce produit

Product Information

Inspired in part by the action-RPG-styled "Konquest" segments of 2004's Deception, Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks is a full-fledged fighting adventure that leads players in a violent, epic struggle through the storied Mortal Kombat universe. As either of two of the series' Shaolin monks, Liu Kang or Kung Lao, players will make their way through the various realms of the extra-dimensional fighting competition from a third-person perspective. The game engine is designed to allow characters to attack and defend themselves from enemies in any direction -- ahead, behind, or on either side.

For better or worse, monks will encounter other memorable characters from the Mortal Kombat series, including Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Goro. Other features that have come to distinguish the long-running fighting series have also been translated to this third-person combat adventure, such as environmental hazards like acid pits, deadly spikes, and powerful "Multality," "Brutality," and "Fatality" attack moves that can only be performed with precise input in certain conditions. As characters progress through the adventure they gain experience, which can be used to improve their natural abilities, or to develop their skills in any of four character-specific fighting styles.

  • Stays true to the Mortal Kombat spirit!

This is a 3D action fighting game from Mortal Kombat. Gone is the one on one fighting style but you are now emersed in a 3D environment similar to that of Double Dragon and Streets of Rage.... but better, cooler and you get to use Mortal Kombat signature moves! The Good: * Painstaking recreation of fighting areas * Seemless fighting with complex moves combined into a button push or two * Yes there are fatalities * Use experience to unlock move list * Faithful Mortal Kombat prior exprience is NOT needed * Fantastick two player co-op mode * Hours upon hours of fun unlocking hidden characters and features (like Mortal Kombat II) The Bad: * Once you are playing in single mode or co-op mode, you can't change from one to the other. * Lots of backtracking where you play areas over ...

  • Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (Xbox)

Even though it is not the newest game or on the newest system this is an outstanding game. for anyone who has been a fan of the mortal combat games this is a must play. Best of all you can without even having to buy it. Xbox released the demo for this game through their magazine, game stores, online, and more. Do your self a favor and play this game. No, you dont just stand and fight like the originals but you get more opponents, can travel throughout the game. And best of all the controlls and moves are much better than their last attempt with the mortal kombat: subzero game. Try it and i am sure you will love it.

  • My husband and I loved it

I have been playing mortal kombat since i was small and my mom bought me that first one i have been playing it ever since so i was a bit iffy just playing with only 2 people from mortal kombat when my husband bought it home for us to play together, we're just use to the straight up one on one fighting but i gotta admit playing it was great, fun and playing it with my husband made it even better... I like the missions having to go through the protals to and from the other mortal kombat players you meet along the way it was a good game no complaints from me...

  • MOOOORTAAAL KOOOOMBAAAAAAAAAAAAAT

this is a mk fanatic's dream come true. i've been a rabid fan since playing mk2 in arcades back in '94, and i'd always fantasized about a mk adventure game where you could fight people like in the game, but on a much GRANDER scale. somehow, midway heard my thoughts ~.O and BAM! one of the most addictive games of all time. ALL my favorites are here (except rain), but since they put ERMAC in here, i'll let it slide. from the start, you can play as either lui kang or kung lao. the game takes place between mk1 and mk3 i believe (seeing as how you ... i won't spoil the surprises *coughcoughGOROcoughcoughKABALcough*) loads of weapons and new moves and fatalities to learn. YOU HEARD RIGHT! the more people you kill, the more experience points you gain, and the experience points can be used as ...

  • FUN!!!

This game was fun from start to finish. With really fun gameplay that you can play with a friend. This game strays from the traditional Mortal Kombat fighting system, but it makes it easier for people who don't have the time to memorize intense combos. I like both fighting systems. The Positives: -very fun co-op -really cool moves (Kung Lao's hat is especially fun) -disgusting "Fatalities" The Negatives: -at some parts you have to backtrack, which can get annoying sometimes -limited variety of moves -really easy game (which for some could be considered a positive) -not enough characters (there are only like ten characters in this game) I still thought that this game topped some of the previous Mortal Kombat games because of the fact that it was so much fun to play and it wasn't the same ...
