    You get what you pay for.

    The good: It's cheap and it works. The bad: It's really cheap. It's loud when plugged in as if it has an internal fan, indicative of cheap electronics inside. Voltage output is technically correct but there appear to be mild fluctuations. Plastic casing is made of very cheap plastic that I am doubtful will hold up over time. Weight is also very light compared to my other Dell charger, probably a sign that internally it's pretty cheap electronics with the bare minimum required and no long term survivability in mind. I won't be surprised if it just up and dies one day. Conclusion: You get what you pay for. If you want a quality charger to replace your old one, find a better one. If you just need one to get by for a moment like I did, this will work in a pinch.

    Dogged!!!

    Guess who chewed on the cord and nuked the power adapter??? Replacement works perfectly, and I wasn't embarrassed when I returned her laptop, after doing a clean install on it. I did tell her that I "updated" her power adapter because the connector was really loose; no issues on that from her.

    Close enough for the price

    The charger keeps my laptop powered, but does not charge the battery. For the price I'm not complaining. When I need to actually charge the battery I use my wife's which came with her Dell. The rest of the time I just use this one. One thing, when I boot up my computer I get a warning that the charger may not work, just click F1 and I'm good to go.

    Works as should.

    Being as it is a Dell product the power supply warning disappeared from the computer - which other replacements didn't.

    Dell charger

    I was using an off brand charger; after years of use it no longer charged my battery. It would supply enough voltage to run the lap top plugged in. I ordered this one and the battery charged right up and the system has operated correctly since.
