Great tuning machines
Easy to install. The high ratio gears making tuning easy and accurate. The operation is simple, and the indicator for where to insert the string was helpful. Feels like a quality product and tuning is accurate and stable. Very little to no backlash, so thinking up or down is easy. The higher ratio does mean it'll take a few extra turns, but the accuracy is worth the trade-off in my opinion. The cutter works well and keeps extra windings of the posts and removed the need to carry a pair of cutters to a gig. I plan on replacing the factory tuners on all of my non-Floyd Rose equipped guitars with these.Easy to install. The high ratio gears making tuning easy and accurate. Lock, Cut, Tune, Done.... But supply your own screws
Planet waves are all I use for tuners unless I'm trying to make a specific reproduction or period correct guitar. The 18:1 gear ratio is great for fine tuning, and the auto-trim and string locks help turn a 30 minute restring into a 5 minute job. No need to get a wrap pattern locked down, measure out string lengths, or anything of the sort. Pull your string all the way through, lock it down, tune it to pitch. Let them settle and stretch or manually stretch them, then tune them back to pitch, and you're done. Update 8/24/18: I installed these two days ago, and while the tuners themselves are great, D'Addario must have started using a cheaper supplier for screws. I pre-drilled pilot holes as always, and the first three screws broke while I was screwing them in by hand. I was only down ... Great Tuners
Solid, well made and attractive. It's a hoot to watch the surplus string just fall off when stringing the guitar. The tuner buttons are proprietary, so swapping them isn't really an option. Time will tell how well they'll hold up, but my initial reaction is very positive.

Amazing Autotrim Self Locking Tuners
Well made Amazing Upgrade that allows for 5 minute string changes with the D'Addario AAuto Trim System that not only trims off excess String but makes string changes faster then with any other system or Tuner.

No more poking fingers on poorly cut strings.
These are my favorite tuners to date. They have the string lock and a nice gearing for string changes and tuning up. The auto trim is a great added bonus. Don't know how much blood I've lost to the unwound strings poking me in the past. No more with these.
