    Doctor Who- The Tenth Planet

    The aging Doctor and companions encounter the cybermen for the first time. Interesting twist to the story as Earth's long lost twin planet comes back into orbit, which causes gravitational and electrical difficulties. The cybermen are humanoids who have forsaken their failing flesh for robotic bodies with only the brain living on. Did I forget to mention they do not have any emotions? These first cyber-incarnations are somewhat dated (with what passes for cybermen these days) and have an almost comical voice. I felt that this added to their creepy character. A lot happens in this four part serial (the original part four was lost so a reconstruction from telesnaps, surviving footage and complete audio track was substituted), the cybermen and their planet are destroyed after taking over, the ...

    Doctor Who, Part of the William Hartnell Collection.

    I am personally a Whovian. sure there are Star Wars fans, and Star Trek fans, but I have always found Doctor Who to be the greatest of them all, especially with over 15 years of episodes to watch. here is a time Lord with the power to do anything he wants, and he goes around the galaxy saving the universe, and his pet people us earthlings as well. of course the quality of action is not what you expect in today's movies, but overall these are some great classics and I suggest you add them to your archive today, and help the tradition continue.

    hard to find history piece

    Not so good for its episode content, But more important for its SCI-FI HISTORY. DOCTOR WHO's CYBERMEN (although primitive looking) came LONG B4 STAR TREK's BORG. "you will be upgraded" vs. "you will be assimilated"

    Doctor Who - The Tenth Planet (VHS, 2001)

    The Tenth Planet is an important episode for any Doctor Who fan to see, as it was the first episode to feature a regeneration. However, the regeneration scene is missing and all they have is a sound clip for that part of the serial. Personally I find William Hartnell's episodes kind of boring.
